To be fair, yes that scene in particular was executed well (Gwen falling and being caught)- shame that everything leading up to it was so weak that it didn't have anywhere near the punch that it should have.
How was the clock tower an improvement over the bridge? There was almost no history/rivalry between Harry and Peter- unlike Norman and Peter. The movie changed entirely the dynamics of the characters (the most important part), and not for the better.
I kind of meant the whole scene of trying to save Gwen from falling while fighting the Goblin than just Goblin dropping her and Spidey screwing up. It was much more well done in the movie than the comic (although I was expecting Spidey to be a little more excited that he caught Gwen like he was in the comics).
As for the dynamics of the character thing, I don't mind Harry being the one to do it and it being out of hatred for Peter. I just kind of wish that there was one more scene between Peter and Harry about Peter helping Harry or Harry finding out to build the moment more. I also thought that GG showing up out of nowhere was kind of random, but oh well. There are restrictions to what you can do in movie time.
Also think they did Harry as the first Goblin to switch it up from the original series in some way. I like the transformation thing though, reminds me a bit of the Ultimate version.
