The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Easter Eggs

Why isn't Electro in the Sinister 6 again?

I thought he would be. Personally I find it a bit of a waste that he isn't.

Yea if electro isn't in the s6, that would be quite sad. His resolution was terrible! I actually feel pretty bad for him lol.

And that's DEF Kraven, I didn't even notice in the theater, but seeing it now there's no question to me. I'll be surprised if it isn't honestly.

I found the fact that we dont see JJJ excelent, we get to imagine it is the same JJJ from the previous films. Fitting since i cant imagine anyone better for the role.

Interesting POV, I definitely pictured J.K. Simmons screaming WRONG! immediately :P

I guess this is kind of an easter egg. The 'venom' that Richard and Norman worked on is intended as a cure for illnesses like alzheimers and (Norman emphasizes this part) CANCER. The Venom suit in the Ultimate comics is developed for that precise reason. The Osborns also parallel the Brocks from that universe with Richard and Norman being partners and 'friends' and Peter and Harry being long lost friends after the plane crash. Perhaps the venom will be used to create the symbiote. What I find appealing here in a novelty kind of way is Spider-man, Green Goblin, and Venom are all being connected to one source.

Also, the spiders are infused with a 'radioactive genome.' A nod to the 616 spider being, literally, radioactive.

As for the mask, I 100% believe it's Mysterio. Theater mask + Smoke = Mysterio. Chameleon is nowhere near as theatrical.

Harry references the pilot from the first film with The Lizard & Conners.

The Death of Richard & Mary Parker's airplane crash is similar to 616 story in which they died in an airplane crash and are revealed to be secret agents spying against The Red Skull

Same here! JK Simmons is irreplaceable in the role of Jameson. He should be like M in the James Bond movies. He can be the sole carry over from Rami movies ha.

Similar to their deaths in the Ultimate universe as well. Spidery fan already went into quite a bit of detail about how their medical "device" is being weaponized and in the end their Employer, Trask, sabotages their plane.

Not really an easter egg but Max's boss at Oscorp is Smythe, the creator of the spider slayers.

The scene where Harry is introduced to Felica look at the two eye pictures to left & right of him.

The right one is more like an eye from Mysterio's costume.

The green/yellow coloured electrics linkage box at the power plant scene was a neat touch & I thought it was a nod to classic Electro.

It would be great if it was the Chameleon mask being teased in the credits...

because a Goblin led Sinister Six could use Chameleons powers to mess and torture Peter, by using Chameleon to turn into Gwen and just mess with his head.

Wishful thinking my friend, wishful thinking...

Peter informs his aunt that while he’s making money selling Spider-Man photos, Jameson’s rates would be fair “if it were 1961

Many people thought this was supposed to reference Spideys first appearance but that was in 1962 with Amazing Fantasy #15. Since I'm a big Thor fan and collected most of his Journey into Mystery comics I was aware of this little gem that most people aren't.

I believe 1961 was referenced because the first Proto-type Spiderman appearance in a comic was Journey into Mystery #73 that came out in 1961. Check this out for reference :)

Also the year 1963 was referenced at some point in the movie and that is the year that Amazing Spiderman #1 came out.

I would like to see Pete dating MJ in the next film, and Spidey getting up in Black Cat at the same time. Dual lives, dual loves. Addicted to danger, living on the edge after losing Gwen

Chameleon is a great classic character and he's 2nd on my list if not Mysterio.

Max Dillon maybe obsessed with Spider Man but I'm obsessed with Mysterio!lol :wow: Not crazy obsessed mind you. :hubba

Also anyone notice the Pier 17 possible easter egg?

Pier 17 has been used as a location in quite a few ASM comics such as ASM 298 & ASM 566.

Did anyone got a x-men scene in between the ending credits??

I found it weird, because of rights and licences and stuff...

I can continue repeating over and over again how much it bothered me that there were no mcu easter eggs.

It was there because Webb was contracted to do a film for Fox that would have gotten in the way of TASM2, the compromise was that he could direct TASM2 but they'd have to promote DOFP.

I hope it's Mysterio in the Sinister Six and not Chameleon.

Mysterio's just a better supervillain, and there's a lot to be done with illusions. Chameleon's cool and all, but all he can do is disguise himself, and Mysterio can already do that, and more

Gwen Stacy is wearing the exact same outfit she is wearing in ASM #121
