Congratulations to president Trump!

Its going to be an interesting 4 years.

Coming from someone who didn't want Trump and voted Gary Johnson today....

Progressive liberals, you did this to yourselves. One, you screwed a more likeable candidate in Bernie Sanders. But this is what you get for not listening to the people. You want to be Norway/Denmark/etc. Guess what, we are the United States, not these other countries. You think its OK to crap on the ideal of American exceptionalism and poo poo the flag that flies above your head. Guess what, its not. You think globally when American citizens are crying out not to be forgotten. You didn't listen when citizens said they didn't want Syrian refugees. Americans don't want to pay Iran. Americans don't want other countries to have our jobs. You didn't notice that the populous is tired of political correct nonsense to the point that the democrats thought sexual remarks were worse than possible treason. You wouldn't leave the gun issue alone despite the fact that the most crime ridden areas in the country are under liberal control. And if you are pro-America, you are racist, right....

I didn't want Donald Trump and this could be a serious disaster in and of itself. But as of now, cry liberals cry. You have yourselves to blame. Now go back to watching Michael Moore movies, making funny quips, and talking about helping others during the next election cycle ;)

Esse up on this Liberal; I wanted Sanders too (& , still do)

He is never going to be The President. He will forever be, and only be, Trump.

Well this is weird. Trump POTUS? That's ridiculous.

Hillary will have to go down as the worst candidate ever. How can anyone lose to Trump?

Well...bright side. Republicans are usually just talk. They rarely actually do the things they claim to believe in. That's one of the things I like about them actually. As a Libertarian I prefer talk to action from politicians. I'm hearing his speech right now and he doesn't sound like he's going to "throw Hillary in jail". Eh...it's good he's already backing off that stuff. He's also talking about spending a lot of government money....same old Republicans. Talk about cutting spending and then forget about it when they get in office.

Democrats should at least realize this guarantees the next Prez will be a Democrat. They won't nominate Hillary again and surely no one else can lose to him, right?

How about both parties learn a lesson and give us someone/something to vote FOR instead of pleading with us to vote AGAINST things?

Michelle Obama for 2021.

He isnt even worthy of being formally adressed as Trump. He's Donald. The head ass clown of the United States.

Trump up 0.8% in the U.S. popular vote. 55% of California vote still remaining to be counted.

At this point, it probably doesn't mean much considering that Trump is already president, so I imagine a lot of people would be voting for him because "why not? There's no point!"

Yeah well, he's the president. No matter how much people wanna joke and whatnot about it. It's a fact now.

Is it too early to blame Zach Snyder for this?

I think Hillary wins in the Marvel universe.

He is Donald, crowned prince of moronic ass clowns. Leader of filthy rabble. Congrats.

We could always blame the Flash and his Flashpoint. This is what happens when you save your mother from the RF; Sara is John Jr. and the POTUS is now Donald. :o

For someone who didn't vote for Trump, I totally understand why he won. I've been saying this **** for years now. As a classic liberal, this new wave of "liberalism" has lost the plot. You can't even look in the mirror and see what the problem is. You'll literally look in a different direction, in order to look more politically correct. This election wasn't won by these so called "racist, bigoted, homophobes", it was lost by people who thought there was nothing but racist, bigoted, homophobes.

And I'm sure you'll keep making excuse, backpedaling, and not realizing what is going on. You'll just look for the easy boogeyman to blame it on. Why not, it's much easier that way? And I'm sure you'll try to call me crazy, yet, here we are: Donald Trump is President. This sucks, but here we are. I just hope liberals will start to wise up, cause it's been nothing but a HUGE downturn the past 4-5 years.

yeah, its clear now that liberals lost because they ignored the concerns of a blue collar working class

this is a big political shift that moves things beyond conservatism and liberalism in a more populist direction

will be interesting to see how the major parties restructure in response to this

kudos for seeing this coming

also liberals... not nominating a super corrupt politician who is under FBI investigation might help in the future too

And by "wise up" do you mean stop fighting for women's rights, lgbtq rights, rights for immigrants, health insurance for all americans etc.? By "wise up" do you mean turn a blind eye to the obvious abundant racism and bigotry in Trump's campaign and his supporters?

If so, you can keep your "classic liberalism". I want no part of it.

he didn't say that, he said by only focusing on those things liberals have ignored other big concerns, which is true

No offense to anyone, but it genuinely boggles my mind how so many thought Hillary would win this. I could understand thinking she had better chances, but thinking Trump literally had no chance? That's insanity.

Do I have to list all the problems with the Hillary campaign? Just the smugness and arrogance towards her base mixed in with her corruption and pro-Establishment stances? Is it really a shock that a professional con man like Trump - who, according to his ex-wife, studied Hitler's speeches - was able to win while running on a pseudo-populist message? Is that really such a shock? Especially when it's been a common occurence throughout history and still is?

And all the talk on Hillary being the lesser of two evils is meaningless to the conversation. If you screw people over enough...if you get them angry enough...they will reach their limit. And when they reach it they simply don't act rational. At this stage they'd do anything to get rid of the same Establishment they see as the source of their grief. It's the same sort of psychology that leads to suicide and school shootings that was being implemented here.

Seriously, how could Trump not lose? How could anyone even entertain the idea he would have a low chance of winning? I'm completely left in the dark when it comes to those questions.
