I’d be somewhat surprised if they did that, since they were rumored to be looking for a woman of color for the role of Sersi. Certainly possible, though.

I was expecting someone younger for Sersi and Angelina is 43 right now.

Getting Jolie would be a major coup for Marvel, would give this movie immediate and immense spotlight.

She was fierce as Maleficent, Mrs. Smith, Fox, Evelyn Salt and the tomb raider, Lara Croft! But I don't really see her as Sersi.

I just hope it's for the part of a main character, as I'd rather she not be relegated to playing someone's mom or what have you. Also, 43 isn't that old; she still looks good.

I legit was thinking she's playing an oldie, definitely not a main attraction. Although, she could be the villain if they want an oldie.

Angelina Jolie was great in Changeling. So I won't mind.

But a villain role or someone really powerful are the first things that popped into my head about this casting.

One of the female characters they’re casting for, according to the initial reports. She’s an AI being of some sort, I believe? I don’t know much more than that.

Thats not gonna happen as the two are separated and have entered legal battle against each other and that could just create conflict at the set of Eternals.

That would have been cool though!

Yeah! I did some reading up just now on Elysius, but there’s not much about her - which makes it even more intriguing that she’s gonna be in this movie. In the comics, she’s the lover of Mar-Vell, is a telepath, was artificially created by ISAAC, assisted in the takeover of Titan, keeps pet griffins, and also...impregnated herself? A bizarre character, it seems.

That all sounds up Jolie’s street. She can bring the crazy. She has the edge.
