I would not mind seeing Van Damme get slapped around a little.

I don't want random actors being thrown in for no reason (like Travolta or Slater). However, there is a pretty good history of the comic relief actor who doesn't really fit in with the action setting (think Tom Arnold in True Lies).

Also this 4th movie there will be in together. The Shepherd: Border Patrol (so-so), Assassination Games ( good. Seen it OnDemand), new Universal Soldier out next year, now this one!!!!!!

No spoilers, but was JCVD vs. Adkins better in Assassination Games than it was in Shepherd? I was absolutely disappointed by Shepherd. How did Isaac Florentine eff that up?

Cause people in the know say Van Damme edited a cut and his cut got released. This is basically confirmed at Issac's site. I was shocked at Adkins working with Van Damme...Van Damme said no to 7 min fight scene with Adkins week before it filmed in Shepherd. Anyhoo, Assassination Games is drama with action. It good movie. Van Damme plays another depressed role. He's good at it though. Adkins can't stay in accent. Director impressed me^ with visuals. Decent story/script.

Well I'd heard Florentine wanted a crazy Hong Kong action flick and JC wanted something low key and gritty. I didn't realise JC took over the whole thing, just the fight.

Either way, JC vs Adkins in a John Hyams film will be ace. So they'll definitely have a classic fight scene.

No idea if it was shot in 3D...don't think it was. But I do think there's a chance it may hit theaters or OnDemand before DVD/Blu release. Assassintion Games had a promo release. According to Adkins it's being shot on the same 3D camera that the next Spider Man film is. I honestly think they're going for a theatrical reboot.

Dragon Eyes is getting a theatrical release too according to Cung Le.

Well I think JC realised his career was down the tubes, he seems to be reinventing himself.
