The Expendables 3 - Part 1

Maggie sounds more like a drama. But good lord I hope he ends up in Prometheus 2 (Because at this stage of their careers both he and Ridley Scott know they have nothing to prove and can do WHATEVER THEY WANT) and a Guilermo Del Toro Lovecraft movie.

Does anyone think Adrian Paul(Highlander The Series) should have gotten a role for this film?

I wish he was still doing Highlander in some form. Video games, an animated series, something.

Imagine thinking in say 1994 that we would have all these guys together in a movie like this, just the thought alone would've brought so much excitement.

Me too.

I'd thought, around the late 90's, that maybe Paul could make a successful leap from tv to cinema and become a film star in the mold of what, I suppose, Jason Statham would end up being, especially with Paul having a solid Sean Connery resemblance. Alas, it didn't happen.

I had a vision they could have gone the dirty dozen route with this series had Sly not been so dead set on this being a wink/nod to the 80's era of action cheese. Most of the boys in dirty dozen were gettin on in years especially with the late great lee marvin leading the way.

I still think that would have been a great premise for these guys considering they aren't in their prime anymore.

Looking at that pic, imagine if instead of Twilight guy it was Stephen Amell as the leader of the young Expendables? That would be so badass.

eh. i peg at least 4 of them as Hydra.

"YA! COME ON, HAIL THE HYRDRA!" - Arnold Schwarzenegger.

did i miss 2 theatrical trailers or what?

I'm actually not a fan of this franchise so far. The first one was largely boring and disappointing until the finale. Same with the second imo. The second one had better overall action, but it dragged like hell in the second act.

I really hope this one has a bit more meat to it on a story front (I KNOW these aren't about story, but the first two could barely be called movies) and better pacing.

I liked the first one,2nd was even better and cooler and believe this one will be truly awesome,Just wish Mickey Rourke returned for at least a cameo

Kelsey Grammer sticks out like a sore thumb. It's like... COMING THIS SUMMER... RAMBO, THE TERMINATOR, IVAN DRAGO, BLADE AND... Fraiser.

So apparently this is gonna be PG13

Honestly these films are such a tame R, with most of it just being blood, Im not surprised. I think it's better for it to be R, especially in considering that these movies are supposed to be an homage to old school action, but I can see people flipping out/overracting over this news any minute now.

I mean if this is supposed to be the last one. I dont see why not just make it R because it's not like they have a sequel to worry about and the first 2 did decent business

Oh well. there goes this movie I suppose. :csad:
