If Matt Vaughn was indeed brought in to reshoot act 3, it's a mystery why they didn't let him helm it in the first place.

But if Vaughn shot this movie's Act 3, and this movie's Act 3 is terrible, wouldn't that point to NOT trusting him with the film in the first place?

I think they just tagged on any old ending and didn't put in much effort, because they figured that even if it's absolutely terrible

People just aren't going to let that quote go, are they? :funny:

I think saving someone else's film's third act is a bit different than directing the whole thing. From the promo material, the look of the third act is as turgid as the rest of the film. This is a muddy, dull look I've never seen Vaughn use before. I'm positive if he directed the picture it would've been a colorful affair.

Ironically, I bet the bulk of the audience this weekend will be made up of true FF fans who were against this movie just going to check out how bad it is.

That's my greatest fear. We're literally this close togetting F4 back but a million people who were against saying "my one curiosity view doesn't matter" will boost the OW numbers by ten million dollars

Free ticket or not, anyone seeing this on a ticket for it(as opposed to buying an Ant-Man or MI ticket and sneaking in) is jeopardizing our chances for an MCU return.

'Producer Adi Shankar (Dredd) Wants To Remake Fantastic Four' WOOP!
how do you guys feel about another reboot? I'm fine with it if this guy can produce it because at least we know he can produce a good comic book film...

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.

The idea of a Matthew Vaughn directed Fantastic Four film makes me ****ing drool. He'd give it edge but in a smart way and the action scenes would be dynamic as ****.

Well....I aint gonna see it until RedBox. Not wasting my time watching this in no theatre. Even if the ticket was for another film or somebody offered to buy one. I can't sit at the movies and watch a lame ass looking film.

Be on Redbox real soon and I will watch it on my couch.

No just seeing that a million small molehills can make a mountain together.:cwink:

You're not wrong, but I honestly don't think people are going to see this. I really think this will maybe hit $40 million OW and have no legs to speak of. Anyone remotely interested in it knows that it sucks, and if they don't, they'll find out sometime soon when they hear how bad it is.

But that leads to sequels regardless of quality, like Bay Turtles. If everyone who sees it hates it Fox still has the money for it. The way I see it if you don't want it to succeed commercially then don't see it OW, and if you dot have the restraint for that buy a ticket for something else.
