I'm sure a FF porn parody will be the stuff of nightmares. lol

But none of those movies were bad *because* of Ryan Reynolds. He had no control over how Deadpool was portrayed in origins and to me, he seemed like the only enthusiastic person in Green Lantern, that movie was crap because of the script and too much cgi both of which are, again, things he didnt have control over.

I never said he had control over anything, he has been in 3 comic book movies and all 3 were failures, that is the point I am making. He comes off Armie Hammer like, he keeps getting parts that year after year ate failures.
With that being said I've always liked Ryan and from what I have seen Armie can act well....they just are box office poison.

Meh, he was the worst part of Blade: Trinity, and his humor brought the whole movie down. His type of humor didn't work with the Blade films.

I actually feel he was the best most memorable part of Blade 3. The worst part was Wesley Snipes imo. In the other movies he was such a bad mofo....but in this one he was just annoying.

Snipes had onset issues on the third film which is why he put almost zero effort into the role.

Blade: Trinity was a weird movie. Goyer was using leftover ideas the previous two Blade directors turned down. Goyer randomly deciding to have stuff be in Esperanto and the really terrible obvious product placement. Goyer thought Jessica Biel making a playlist to go fight vampires was cool but it came off as incredibly corny.

Snipes had pretty good reason to be upset. They were trying to build a new franchise while using Blade to do so, relegating him to be a minor character in his own film. Goyer messed up Blade, not Snipes.

I think goyer is extremely overated i really hope he never touches anything for marvel in the future.

But you are making it sound as though people didnt go to see those movies based solely off the fact that he was in them as if people were saying "Oh man Im definitely not seeing a movie that has Ryan Reynolds in it". But all the examples you provided were of movies that just sucked in general and that is what kept people away.

Totally. At best, you could accuse them of having **** luck; at worst, that they are terrible at picking projects. But to intimate they are seemingly the reason why the GA didnt go and see those movies? No way.

Well Fox has two movies in theaters both at 8% on RT. Is Agent 47 as much of a box office flop as FFINO?

Well Variety put its budget at about $35million, thats an awful lot less than FF's (estimated) $120 million (after tax rebates).

Well it's managed to pull in $16 million WW so far, they might end up making a profit on that one.

I was just looking back over at some of the old Mark Millar comments about FFINO and how he told us it was going to be good:

Mark Millar promises big things from Trank’s take on the Fantastic Four

http://screenrant.com/mark-millar-fantastic-four-reboot/

“What I wasn’t expecting actually was just how funny and likable he could make this as well as getting the more awesome moments on screen – I use awesome in the traditional British sense and not the California sense awesome, you know? The Ridley Scott moments, and the Fantastic Four really are jaw-dropping in the same way you feel when you saw Alien for the first time. There’s some moments in this – not to be specific – that are actually gonna be phenomenal on screen and stuff you haven’t seen in a superhero movie before.”

:hehe: So where were these Ridley Scott moments in FFINO?

In fact, there was nothing new and the whole film was tired and cliched. We were certainly waiting for moments though. Moments of some kind of action to lift it from the tediousness that made it feel like it was one year later after the first act because it dragged out so long.

'Fantastic Four' Reboot Will 'Surprise' People, Says Comic Writer Mark Millar

http://www.idigitaltimes.com/fantas...e-people-says-comic-writer-mark-millar-445058

Millar believes fans will be pleasantly surprised by the latest Fantastic Four reboot.

“I’ve seen chunks of it but not the complete movie, and it's looking good. What I’m really excited for is to see how many people are surprised by it,” Millar said. “I remember everybody *****ing about Fantastic Four for about six months then the trailer came out and everyone is like ‘this is really good.’ I think it'll surprise people."

“I think you don't want to be in a position where everyone is expecting something and then they're disappointed,” Millar told ComicBook.com. “I think people are coming and they're just sort of like, hoping for the best. I think that's a good way to watch a movie.”

Well, I guess we were all pleasantly surprised that it did as badly as it did. We couldn't have expected such a response. :woot:

Or:

Exclusive: Mark Millar talks The Fantastic Four reboot, “everything I’ve seen looks good”

http://www.flickeringmyth.com/2015/...ur-reboot-everything-ive-seen-looks-good.html

“I’ve seen little bits, but not the full [movie],” Millar told us. “There is a cut, but I haven’t seen it yet”.

“Everything I’ve seen looks good. I think Josh Trank is such a brilliant director that I sort of relaxed about it. I think it will work out good.”

So everything he's seen looks good? It must show that Millar has poor taste. Unless of course, he was completely BS-ing. But even if he were, his words still suggest that he wasn't the best judge of this film.

He goes on to say:

“Fox are very clever [with directors],” Millar added. “They got James Mangold for The Wolverine, they got Matthew [Vaughn] for X-Men: First Class, and then Bryan Singer in for X-Men: Days of Future Past. And then Josh [Trank]. There’s no weak director in there and I think the big mistake some studios can make is to start thinking it’s the brand that is going to sell it. The brand can be crap. The brand is only as good as the people making it. Like… I’ve seen great Spider-Man films, and I’ve seen very poor Spider-Man films – and it’s entirely down to the people behind the camera. Same with Bond, same with Star Trek. So I think Fox are very wise to spend money on directors and I think Josh has got a voice. I loved Chronicle. It came out the same year as The Avengers – and it was my favourite superhero movie that year. Which is a big thing! So, I feel good about it – it will be interesting.”

But this is exactly what Fox thought, that the brand would sell itself, and in fact, the brand WAS crap.

Shouldn't really have been any great surprise - Milllar thought the Wanted movie was the best comic adaptation that he'd ever seen, despite the bastardisation of the source material.

'Nuff said, really. Millar has proved that he's all to ready to give a ringing endorsement of rubbish, if there's a bit of money [or favour] in it for him.

:funny: It does make you wonder, after seeing how bad it really was, how so many people saw what was going on and either didn't realize how bad it was or were willing to lie about it.

Remember when Matthew Vaughn said it was a 'good movie' and most of us took him to task for not being able to praise it more than that? In hindsight, he was full of s*** to go so far as calling it a good movie.

Goyer is a terrible script writer, and an even worse director.

Like Stan Lee co-signing MBJ, Vaughn clearly forcing himself to lie about this film was just one of the clauses with being Executive producers of this film which at this point I'm sure they both wish they could ex-sponge their names and comments completely. H3ll I don't recall Vaughn saying anything about the film since then and that was what.....January or February when he said that?

Having hacks like Millar, Kinberg and Liefeld put in their place, unable to gloat and talk nonsense is one the better things to come out of this flop if nothing else happens any time soon.

But Liefeld wass still talking nonsense even after the movie came out and saying that it was the fans who led to the downfall of this film and that they didn't give it a chance.

As his 'art' has proven so spectularly, Liefeld's capacity for the utterly absurd knows no bounds.

I don't take anything that royalty hungry hack has to say seriously.

I think it was because of the fact that Liefeld identified with Trank having moobs that he endorsed his movie.

He blocked me from his Twitter years ago so tell'em I said "You're welcome!"

He's a credited producer of the film. Not like he's supposed to disown the film publicly. He has to sell it no matter what.

I thought that was what I basically said but okay.

It's likely that he's been trying to cleanse his soul ever since.
