It would've been amazing if Trank was actually a secret genius and staged his behavior to make a documentary. So he was basically in on it the whole time to denounce Fox and their tactics in a groundbreaking documentary. However Trank just isn't that smart or meta

I'm sure there would be a big lawsuit coming his way if that happened

That's not going to happen.
But what we might hope for is that he gets so disgruntled, since he knows his career is over, that he just dishes the dirt on everything.
All their meetings, all the FOX crap. Everything.
So that we can have confirmation on what we already knows happens there.

This is one of 100 reasons it's near impossible for Fox to make another film. No director in his or her right mind would sign on for that project. No Fox manager in their right mind would vote to green-light another project.

I know for many of us who have suffered so long, it seems too good to be true, but there is zero chance Fox will make another film in 7 years. It's just not within the realm of reasonable possibility.

I say let them. Let them embarrass themselves again and again. They already are a laughingstock and a disgrace after this shameless rights grab that blew up in their faces.

Could you imagine who would be stupid enough to direct a sequel to Tranktastic 4?

Seeing how Fox cut the budget and are still going to lose money, the sequel will look like one of the movies in Be Kind Rewind.

I don't get the purpose of this thread anymore. Can we not speak negatively about the movie in any other thread? That's like burying one's head in the sand, when it's so abundantly clear that this is an absolutely terrible movie and everyone knows it except for the small handful of positive people.

So shouldn't the entire forum be where people can talk freely about it, and the positive people can have their small little corner to praise it instead of the other way round? What kind of bizarro forum is this?

So they want the X-Men franchise, which is currently doing well, associated with the most critically panned comic book movie of all time?

That would be like having a crossover between The Magnificent Seven and Heaven's Gate.

This is the only forum I've been too where something as innocuous as Foxholm Syndrome is considered "highly offensive" to a films supporters and a punishable offense. I got a warning for using a variant of it in the Reborn thread.

It's like supporting this move turns one into a porcelain doll that will shatter if not treated with the utmost care. Just don't forget that all of us detractors were an still are just ridiculous Disney fanboys.

But what's to defend about this movie? It's a disaster on every conceivable level. Not only that, but it has destroyed some of the goodwill FOX won back in the last couple of years.

And the crossover idea, if it ever was serious (I doubt it), is of course now completely dead.
