The FFINO ZONE - Part 3

Dear lord, now even Liefeld has joined the bandwagon saying the film's mostly failing because of the fans that want FF to revert.

I think it's more about it not looking like Fantastic Four and getting 9% on Rotten tomatoes.

. . . but let's keep the myth going that it's all about the haters, because if people believe that's the case, the haters aren't going anywhere, so there's no point in Fox ever trying to make another film.:woot:

Guess he doesn't realize that the reason fans want it to revert is because Fox doesn't get the Four. Their movie is also just straight up atrocious. It all goes hand in hand, but if anything it's their ****** film that causes bad feelings from the fans not the other way around!

If anyone was going to defend the director with manboobs it would be the guy who draws everyone with manboobs........

Let's just say that's the case: Would Fox continue to make movies that people will continue to boycott and lose money just to keep them out of Marvel's hand? How stupid is that! Why not do what Sony did and come to some kind of arrangement? This is stupid and selfish as a brainless shellfish! :sly:

well the first half hour isn't too horrible, bracing for the worst though

I'm just going to leave a quote here. I assure you, I have not altered it in any way.

Everybody should see every movie they can. Especially any movie that sounds like it might be boring. -Josh Trank

I agree. I'm just not paying a dime of my money to see this one.

Is this the new marketing strategy?

Fixed. :o

And Now, a Tribute to Kate Mara’s Awful Wig in Fantastic Four

Already I've seen fanboys try to explain away Sue's hair horror-show by noting that a one-year time jump occurs in the middle of the movie, which, theoretically, would give Sue plenty of time to ditch the chic, roots-baring lob she has when we meet her and then transition to a gold silk hairpiece that looks like Austin Scarlett made it entirely out of corn. These defenders are well-intentioned people, but they have probably never seen a picture of Kim Zolciak. Do not trust them. Let it be known, definitively, that the Invisible Woman's two major powers are wig-wearing and bubble-driving, and while the latter ability is awfully cute (she envelops so many people in bubbles that she might as well be in Milon's Secret Castle), it's the power of Sue's Reshoots Wig that intermittently makes Fantastic Four what it ought to be: a lot more fun.

This is so unique. They alienated the true fan base right from the start. This movie has no real defenders or fan base. In fact, most of that fan base is now its sworn enemy on movie sites all around the Net. Has that ever happened before in history?

The only people trying to praise this turkey are the anti-Marvel trolls who sense that their "enemy" hates this thing. So, they are in the strange position of hyping a Marvel character property in order to troll and try to tick off real Marvel fans. Like everything, they fail but they must be even more confused than normal. Look at forums like the IMDB forums for example.

Remember this? Almost feels like a lifetime ago.

While Disney lays down a $4 billion bet on the future of Marvel’s superheroes, 20th Century Fox has already begun overhauling one of its big Marvel franchises, “Fantastic Four,” to take the property beyond the two films already made.

Akiva Goldsman has been hired to oversee the reboot as producer. Michael Green, the co-exec producer of TV’s “Heroes” who co-wrote “Green Lantern,” will write the script for the new “Fantastic Four.”

Fox wouldn’t comment on its plans, but the moves are evidence that Marvel franchises do have enduring lifespans.

As “Spider-Man 4″ moves toward an early 2010 production start, Columbia Pictures recently hired James Vanderbilt to write a fifth and sixth installment with the understanding that one or both of those films would give the franchise a makeover with a new director and cast (Daily Variety, Aug. 16).

The 2005 “Fantastic Four” and 2007 sequel “Rise of the Silver Surfer” were directed by Tim Story and starred Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis. Since the deals for the reboot are just getting made, it is unclear if any of them will return.

Though Marvel Entertainment owns and finances properties like “Iron Man” and “Thor,” Fox controls “Fantastic Four” in perpetuity — as long as it continues making the films. Fox has the same arrangement on Marvel Comics properties “X-Men,” “Daredevil” and “Silver Surfer.” Marvel is a producer and financial participant through a licensing agreement.

Though the related Silver Surfer character soared in the “Fantastic Four” sequel, that iconic personality has remained a priority project for his own film at the studio.

Fox has so far done one “X-Men” spinoff in “Wolverine.” The studio is working on a sequel to that film and has scripts for “X-Men Origins: First Class,” and “X-Men Origins: Magneto.” Potential spinoffs for the Gambit and Deadpool characters have also been discussed.

As producer, Goldsman is involved with several DC Comics transfers, including “Jonah Hex,” “The Losers” and “Teen Titans.” He was also producer of the Will Smith-Charlize Theron superhero film “Hancock,” for which a sequel is being developed.

Dang man! Look at the superhero properties that Goldsman has been associated with! You would think that someone would think that he is the problem and get rid of him. If he couldn't do it right the first 5 times, what makes you think he could get it right the 6th time?

Was there even a second act in this movie?

Felt like an ok first act and it immediately skipped to a really really historically bad 3rd act

Nope, they just described it. [BLACKOUT]"Well, we gave them suits, they got better at their powers and we used The Thing as a military weapon." [/BLACKOUT]

Hollywood is so ****ing illogical it hurts. I'm glad that Feige exists:ilv:

Just so bad. Whoever said: "the first act gave us a taste of a movie that we never got to see" was on the money.

Screw you, Fox.

That doesn't surprise me. The guys grasp of logic is about equal to his understanding of basic human anatomy.

Can't fault his ability to grasp at $$$ mind you.

Admits that he hasn't seen Ant-man but p*ssed that no one will support 4stic.

Just a few more hours until we should be able to officially label this one of the worst reviewed comic-book films of all time, box-office bomb and all around disaster.:chd:

Im very confused how it seems that FOX has more faith in a franchise about talking apes (which I love. Dawn... was my favorite film of last year) but not have much faith in Fantastic Four. Or so it seems.
