They idea that it's the customer's job to give a product a fair chance and not the producer's job to convince customers it's worth giving a chance is absolutely crazy.

But we've seen that view-point expressed over and over again on this very forum.

"You have to go and pay money to see it before you can say you don't want to pay money to see it."

Exactly. There was one poster here who kept shushing down any negative opinions about the movie saying that "you can't judge it before you see it", who then in the same breathe made the claim that Domashev will be far better than any MCU villain. I had it as my signature for a while.

as a member the latino community , he was offended by what he views as ethnic stereotypes in Ant Man.
What stereotypes specifically? I thought he was one of the brightest spots of the movie, and I really enjoyed Ant-man, so that says a lot.
If any of you are curious to know of 14 things that weren't in the final film, I came across this good article. Even if Trank's original version sucked, I'm interested to know about it.

Interesting, thanks for posting.

I just thought he was a really fun character. The fact that he was Latino made no difference to me. He could have been any ethnicity and he still would have been great. Michael Peña nailed it.

Let's be honest guys, our agenda is that we didn't get a serious attempt at adapting the property. We, from the very beginning, smelled the **** and are now deflecting the "he who smelt it, dealt it" game that Fox, Mayimbe, and others are trying to play. I did my fair share of hoping and complaining, but after every trailer showed up in theaters, even my fiancé who is casual as best with comics knew something was off.

In the video above, El Maymbe talks about the joke where Luis said his father was deported.
In part 1 of the video he talks about all of the Marvel movies that he liked.
I don't think its an example ofvant Marvel bias.
I think his Ant Man review is available at Heroic Hollywood. Com
He can explain it in his own words better than I can.

Personally, I think El has an over-inflated view of himself. He puts it in writing that he's going to hurt someone and still thinks he didn't do anything wrong.

Mr. Mayimbe gives SHH a name drop at about 25:05 in this video. :p

Schnepp comes off as a massive tool in that video. He's a self proclaimed huge Fantastic Four fan that just couldn't get enough of FOX tossing aside everything actual fans love about the classic team. And then he completely goes off the rails by blaming FF fans for the name change from Domashev. And not the studio that made the foolish change and then didn't have the grapes to stand behind it.

Who was that again?

He also hated Ant Man. And was extremely offended by the standout character, Luis. :/

When did he change his review?

When I first heard him talk about Ant-man on Periscope, he said he liked the Ant-man movie overall, but HATED Pena's character as he felt he was to much of a racial stereotype.

Agree wholeheartedly, I almost wanted to reach in my screen and slap him,

Also as a side note I'm latino....Pena didn't bother me in the slightest I though he was a highlight.

I also hate the stereotype that always portrays Latino Men as art-loving wine connoisseurs.

In the end, who would have thought 10 years ago that Ant-man would stomp over all of ththe Fantastic Four?

With Disney's D23 coming soon, do you reckon that Marvel (as respectable as they are) will make an obvious joke or even a sly joke at Fan4stic?

It'd be so good. Or perhaps a member of the audience will ask Feige or someone about it and the rights?

Yeah I don't agree with all his opinions on F4, but usually I really like Schnepp. He's great in the rest of the video.

With all the BTS shenanigans Ant-Man went through. I was very surprised that film ended up as good as it was. For quite sometime I thought it was gonna be Marvels first rotten film and wouldn't make that much money and I was wrong. But yeah this is all but surprising. Just goes to show that one studio cares more about it's properties than the other.:csad:
