I just wish the rights to X-Men would expire with FOX...so Marvel Entertainment can get them back.:csad:

most people who think watchmen is great ARE PEOPLE WHO READ WATCHMEN

I know Watchmen very well. I don't think it's great, at least not the theatrical version. I think it's good. Waiting for the DC to get a better idea.

Correct me if I am wrong but back when X-3 was in production there were many many rumors that Omega Red was suppose to be in X-3 as well as Gambit. Now Fox added them to wolverine to make up for it but from what I heard they still messed up the character of deadpool uggggh.

Edit Omega Red is not in wolverine my bad lol.

One guy who works at my local comic book store thought that "Deadpool"
at the end was Omega Red.

did you see Watchmen? Did you read the novel?
Most likely not.... Watchmen was a very very good adaptation to the novel. And yes it is one of the best CBM of all time
I am in the process of getting through the graphic novel. But as for me, I'm not a comic book snob. I think that a good comic book movie will find a way to incorporate people who have not read the books. And saying that it is one of the best comic movies ever is an opinion that you are trying to pass of as fact.

I thought Watchmen was pretty decent.

I think the reason it flopped is because...

a) Most people probably thought they were just gonna get a rated-r/18 action packed comic book movie when they got a conspiracy/cold war movie with comic book characters.

b) Weird and pretentious

c) Dodgy sex scenes and the now famous big blue penis.

I commend Snyder for having the balls to make it so accurate to the book. No other directors would of basically said "Ohhh **** the general audience".

b) Weird and pretentious
That about clinches it for me. But I'd stick a "very" in front of pretentious.
Anyway, back to Wolverine: I don't really care if its the same as the workprint because I haven't seen the workprint.
And how do we know this guy's legit? He was told not to say anything and he's yammering. Seems like a potential liar to me...

He could be lying. But then why risk the wrath of both Fox and the internet?

You know that would have been a lot better than what we had at the end. Omega would have been the perfect choice as the end villian

Yeah, for me, I read the novel, and thought it was accurate. But the film was so crappy it literally left me numb.

i think watchmen is a 9/10. i just thought ackerman and the old age make up sucked and i wish we wouldve had a shot of the afterman of the plan like there was in the book, instead of a freakin crater, and ss2's response to the tradegy sucked so freakin bad.

I don't know if answering this question violates the spoiler rules, or if the Sabertooth thread was removed because of the leak. But is this Sabertooth supposed to be the same one we seein X1? I'm just wondering if that battle on top of the statue of Liberty will be more meaningfull after watching this movie.

Sabertooth in this film is before he is with magneto who in a sense has brainwashed him into being a brute this happens many many years before x1

hey stark your sig is great lol box office "experts" (whoa get paid to predict the placement of movies WHOA TOUGH JOB) all said iron man had no appeal

D-BAGS

Sabretooth thread is on page 2:

Same character I'm pretty sure but he's never referred to as Sabretooth in this film. He becomes more and more feral throughout so perhaps his memory degrades as well? Loses some of his higher brain function when he becomes more animalistic? That's not in the comics but he's an idiot in X1 compared to this movie.

I think that the Statue of Liberty fight has less weight than it did before. They have a history...but it doesn't even matter because neither remembers it. Even if they never knew each other they would still be fighting. There's that vague familiarity they seem to have for each other...but it never pays off in the trilogy. Maybe the most amusing part of the climax of X1 after Wolverine is that Cyclops blows Sabretooth away. Also the choreography is a little underwhelming after what's done in Wolverine.

maybe sabes and creed and just two different people in the movie verse....
