The Flash Synopsis Revealed: The Man In the Yellow Suit Is Coming December 9

Christmas is usually associated with a man in a red suit, but Barry Allen already has a red suit...and it seems his holidays will be coming up yellow.

The CW has released a synopsis for the upcoming, ninth episode of The Flash, set to air on December 9. The episode will be the last outing prior to the midseason finale on December 16, and the first one following the series' crossover with Arrow.

It's probably safe to assume that "The Man in the Yellow Suit" is the Reverse-Flash, whose likeness was spotted on an on-set poster the day the series premiere aired. Set spies have spotted the character as well, around the time that the series would be filming either Episode 9 or 10.

You can check out the official synopsis below...

BARRY CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS WITH THE WESTS — Barry (Grant Gustin) enjoys the annual tradition of tree trimming and gift exchange with Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton). He gives Iris a touching gift, but the moment is interrupted by Eddie’s (Rick Cosnett) arrival. Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Todd Helbing & Aaron Helbing (#109).

Guess that means we'll be seeing an appearance by...

I know you meant that as a joke but I mean who chose a man in a yellow suit and a primate.

The Man in the Yellow Hat is a main character in the Curious George stories.

Anyway, I guess this will be our first good look at the Reverse Flash/Zoom. I'm still thinking it will turn out to be Eddie, though it might end up being Wells in the end. Or both of them.

If the images are stuntmen, then it's impossible to tell who it is under the mask.

However, if those are the actual actors in the costumes, that's not Rick Cosnett's chin. It's a little wider than the one in those PZ pics. It actually looks like Grant Gustin's jawline - which would be weird because then who's in the Flash suit?

On the other hand, Tom Cavanaugh (am I spelling that correctly?) has a narrow chin as well... though his cheeks sort of "perforate" leading down to it. I'm about 50/50 on him being either future Thawne or Zolomon right now.

Man, that yellow and black suit looks great.

Man, wouldn't that be something, if the man in the suit is neither Harrison nor Eddie. I'd be truly and utterly confused.

Side note- This updated Flash suit kinda resembles the ZOOM suit up there.

Like, the rounder part on the chest

I really cannot wait for Reverse Flash/Zoom to be brought in.

The episode description gives us nothing.

BARRY COMES FACE-TO-FACE WITH THE MAN IN THE YELLOW SUIT/AMANDA PAYS RETURNS TO THE FLASH — Barry (Grant Gustin) finds himself face-to-face with his nemesis, the man in the yellow suit, a.k.a. Reverse Flash, who killed his mother. Barry is frustrated when the Reverse Flash escapes, but Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) come up with a plan to trap him. All they need is bait, so they turn to Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays) from Mercury Labs to help. Meanwhile, it’s Christmas at The West household and Iris (Candice Patton) is in full holiday cheer. Eddie (Rick Cosnett) gives her a surprising gift but also leaves her with a question that could change her life. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) joins the search for the man in yellow and ends up in the crossfire. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) finds Ronnie (Robbie Amell). Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Todd Helbing & Aaron Helbing (#109). Original airdate 12/9/2014.

The guy in that suit doesn't look like Wells, if it resembles anyone it resembles
Eddie

Worth noting that the guy in the suit could be a stunt double, so we can't rule Wells or Thawne out based on the set pics.

I can't believe no one mentioned the ring he's wearing, collapsible suit perhaps?

We did mention it awhile back actually when the pics first came out, it's certainly possible the ring is the collapsible suit, at the very least it's a shout to it.

Wouldn't buy it. Maybe if the suit were actually skin tight, then my suspension of disbelief could kick in.

Don't stunt doubles generally still resemble the actor a little?
So it could be Eddie's double.

Or they could have his face obscured by blurring like at the murder scene and at Joe's apartment so it doesn't matter what the stunt double looks like.

That being said, I'm sure Barry won't know who it is for a while.

Generally but not all the time, I'm just saying that nothing concrete can be gleaned from the set pics, apart from the obvious of course. Reverse Flash has also been known to have his appearance heavily altered on occasion in the comics.

If anything, the guy in the yellow suit looks like a Barry/Flash stunt double...
