I've been thinking about whenever this show comes to an end, I really hope it ends with Barry disappearing into the speedforce during a big Crisis with a flashfoward to everyone keeping his legacy alive. Wally officially becoming The Flash, etc...

Dare to dream, I don't see them passing the mantle, not from Grant. It would surprise me if they concluded it that way.

I'd honestly be surprised if it ended any other way, they've teased Crisis numerous times, and that event historically ends badly for Barry, I don't see why they'd hold back on that for a final season when the show's ending anyways. There are some fantastic Flash stories that they simply cannot tell if Barry is still around.

You can't keep a good Captain Cold down.

From CBR: https://www.cbr.com/the-flash-wentworth-miller-one-more-episode/?utm_source=CBR-TW&utm_medium=Social-Distribution&utm_campaign=CBR-TW&view=list

Since appearing in the first season of The Flash, Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold has had quite the journey in the Arrowverse. But since leaving for Legends of Tomorrow, Miller has only appeared on The Flash twice. That’s about to change, as Miller will be donning the parka and working with the Scarlet Speedster one last time before he hangs up the role for good.

While at German Comic-Con a few days ago, Miller confirmed that he’ll have one more episode to shoot for Flash in January.

So still no true Rogues v Flash. :csad: 1 last Cold on Flash and LoT is better than none, I guess.

Yeah, big shame that they were never able to really do the Rogues justice, they had a good roster but we never got to really see all of them together against Flash.

Except that one time with the airport fight. Closest we got. Should have been one of those once-per-season things, at least.

Yeah, this is all Legends' fault. All because they aren't afraid to get rid of characters who plainly don't work, embrace the things that make a superhero show fun and heartbreaking rather than going for soap opera melodrama, come up with original ideas rather than recycle the same ones, mix people and places rather than the same 2 characters interacting all the time and the same setting. Yep, it's totally LoT's fault for kicking Arrow butt and taking Flash's place as the best DCCW show for the 2nd straight season in a row.

^I wish I watched the same show you did. Sounds awesome. The Legends of Tomorrow I watch continues to throw everything but the kitchen sink at the wall to see what sticks, while most of it still doesn't 3 seasons in, has yet to find chemistry among half of its mostly forgettable cast and decent ways to utilize its more powerful characters. And keeps repeating the same time travel problems, just calling them something new. It is, to me, a total mess of a show, which just lost its best actor to boot.

I'll give you Arrow, but otherwise, I'll take this season of Flash and Supergirl over LoT any day of the week.

The chemistry and acting on Flash can't overcome the problems of propping up a shoehorned supporting character, turning a powerful superhero into wet TP and a superhero show into a soap opera. Flash pretending to be what it's not works for you, Legends embracing it's "messy" self works for me. :woot:

I mostly agree. LOT is entertaining nonsense at best as a whole. Flash has it's problems, but it's better than LOT. And no amount of Flash "propping a character" that so far has only served a purpose in 3 episodes this season, while doing nothing or trying and failing to do something with the rest of her time, will change that. This isn't Arrow. It shouldn't dismiss a female character because a vocal part of the fanbase is angry about her, so we can get her killed off as she props the main character's relationship with his cute partner.

I'd agree that Supergirl and Flash are both far better than Arrow or LoT. In fact, I'd assert that Flash is, and always has been, a show in a class by itself. However, LoT has been pretty good this season, including a very adept handling of Gorilla Grodd.

How is having 2 episodes about the westallen romance in 9 episodes make something a soap opera?

Huh I guess we are watching different shows.

This isn't Arrow.
Flash is Arrow, Iris is Felicity. Or more accurately speaking, Iris is Flash and Felicity is Arrow. That sums up what's wrong with both shows.

Iris is Laurel. Flash is superior to Arrow.

It doesn't have to be WA centric, Iris is literally in every scene where she doesn't need to be. She adds to the drama just like Lana did on Smallville.

Doing nothing but giving directions doesn't add drama.

She is not fit to be the team leader, she only thinks of herself, always has always will. She has no agency, still, in Season 4 there is nothing redeemable about her character.

The only time where saying "We are the Flash" would make sense.
