They've all lost someone important, hell... two important people, the whole team are suffering and Iris is going to be dragging them along by the ears so that the team continues and she can not think about her loss...

That's how I see the start of the season going... she's not team leader because she has the right skills to be, she's team leader because she's the only one dragging the team along.

The problem is, Iris doesn't possess *those*, either, and I don't buy her magically developing them after three seasons of not.

If someone had shown me these shots back in 2013, I would have immediately assumed that Danielle was Iris and Candice was the one playing Killer Frost.lol

What all is different about the costume? Is it just the added gold? It's ok from what I can tell is different. I wish they had just given him the costume his future emo self wore from last season, or is that basically what this costume is? I remember there being slight differences. This looks like a step towards that, but they could have just gone ahead went there. They already had the costume made.

Update: After taking a closer look it may be the same costume. Can someone with some eagle eyes in regards to these sort of things give me some kind of confirmation either way? I'd very much appreciate it!!!!!!

At least its not as bad as the Felicity and Friends nonsense on Arrow. Also, Iris is nowhere close to as annoying and terrible as Felicity.

I disagree. They're either neck and neck, or Iris pisses me off more. It changes from week to week.

Not just that, but the demeanor of their characters (based on those shots and how Danielle has a peaceful expression while Candice is sporting more of a dominant one), the staging of their characters (Danielle is next to Grant), and how Danielle looks more similar to the comic book version of Iris.

They are not even close. Felicity actually makes Arrow unwatchable.... Patton being cast as Iris instead of Panabaker if fueling the hate a bit more IMO. Its time to move on guys.

Nobody has said she will be a GOOD leader.
Just that she's holding the team together while they all wallow in their traditional CW sorrows.

I 100% doubt it's like they all voted and nominated her leader. I also don't think she will ever be acknowledged as a leader in the show. That's just the way the creative team has been describing her role as the season picks up.

The team is broken, she's trying to hold pieces together. That's it. I think people are overreacting to something super minor.

I agree with this. Felicity ruins Arrow for me. Her reduced role in the last season made it a much greater show.

I don't understand why people are freaking out about that second part. Unless their problem is specifically that they wanted a white actress to play Iris.

If they're fans of Danielle, you'd think they'd be happy that she has a better role. Because Killer Frost is absolutely more interesting to watch than "The love interest" which is all Iris can hope to be.

That's why I keep saying she should have been cast as Iris from the start. Not even sure why they struggle so much with Candice, they clearly don't have faith she will do a better job at making the audience believe she is independent. Candice as an actress has limited range. Danielle is just pleasing to watch and yes more peaceful.

Yup, it's the same suit as future Barry from last tail of Season 3. Supposed to be the 2024 suit. I think this is the show's rendition of the suit we see him wearing in that newspaper photo -- "FLASH MISSING VANISHES IN CRISIS"

White emblem, gold ears (the circle behind them is filled gold as opposed to just a ring of gold and the suit's color showing through).
