That's why I keep saying she should have been cast as Iris from the start. Not even sure why they struggle so much with Candice, they clearly don't have faith she will do a better job at making the audience believe she is independent. Candice as an actress has limited range. Danielle is just pleasing to watch and yes more peaceful.

Neither particularly has much range as actresses. Shantel VanSanten did.
Caitlin's romance with Ronnie wasn't particularly believable.
At least with Iris there was this sweet hottie and awkward geek cliche earlier on, albeit the surrogate sibling relationship was creepy.

So is Danielle gonna be in and out of Killer Frost mode all season, or does anyone really know?

My *hope* is that she's fully mastered her powers. She's not "Caitlin or Killer Frost", she's both, all the time. She just doesn't look it, because she doesn't have to keep her powers turned on all the time.

They are not even close. Felicity actually makes Arrow unwatchable.... Patton being cast as Iris instead of Panabaker if fueling the hate a bit more IMO. Its time to move on guys.

It's an opinion thing. I personally don't find Felicity THAT bad. Would the show be better without her? Absolutely. Does she make it unwatchable? Hardly. I don't feel like either show is unwatchable because of the love interest. And I don't think Panabaker as Iris would change anything. Where did that come from? Iris' character just bothers me more personally than Felicity. For some reason I find Felicity easier to ignore, but it's the CW. Overly dramatic relationships are to be expected. The station built their reputation around the ****. I do find it hilarious that you're acting like your opinion is pure fact, and that everyone else is simply wrong. Not sure that's how you meant it to come off, but it gave me a good chuckle. :funny:

That's the same suit emo Barry wore last season:

$

Ok, cool. I wasn't sure. I knew it was at least similar, but I wanted a better set of eyes to take a solid look. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

Is the red a bit brighter on the new suit? And I really like the elongated ab/chest area and the more squared off look. It makes him look more stoic and hero like. It almost looks like it forces him to have a more heroic posture. There is alot more leather though isn't there?

Review of first two episodes...

Read WGTC's review.

All I can say is, I hope this season feels like Season 1 in similar ways or all ways. Brighter and closer to the "source material" sound great to me. Can't wait for tonight. Just hoping it's not too "introductory/filler".

THE FLASH "THERAPY" TRAILER
[YT]qzGvJ4nR3FM[/YT]

Good grief. I hate that I'm "that" guy who always has an issue with whatever Iris does, but it's just so irritating to see on what is being blatantly forced upon this show in terms of her new role as a leader of Team Flash.

Her whole
"You're not the Flash Barry. WE are the Flash"
speech is just so insulting and irritating to hear. I mean is the Arrowverse capable of not writing strong female characters where their strength comes not from emasculating other characters? And are they not capable of building up a female character to be a strong person that would be believable and realistic?

So far the only female characters that I love are Kara, Dinah Drake, and Vixen.

"You're not the flash Barry, we are!"

Only on the CW can i hear a line so stupid and insulting.

Logistically, I wonder how Iris even gets by financially. There's no way that she could fit working in as a full time journalist while putting the hours that she has at STAR Labs recently.

It still irritates the hell out of me that they have to give her such a empowering role when she has done NOTHING to deserve it. She spent most of last season as the damsel in distress (and not a very compelling one I might add) and now she's suddenly qualified to lead these heroes.

For a character that was working as a barista 3 years ago, where did she suddenly acquire the ability to use several complicated computers and coordinate several superheroes into taking down real life villains?

Looking at the trailer again, that I just posted above, I'm honestly thinking about dropping this show right now.

If that is a preview of what's to come, where Iris will become Felicity 2.0 (Season 4 Version), I might just drop it already. I couldn't stand Felicity back then, which is why I dropped Season 4 midway into it. As much as I love the Flash, if Iris is going to continue to emasculate people and constantly get praised for being someone that anyone with common sense can tell that she isn't, then this show isn't worth the headache.

It would be one thing if she wasn't a major character. But since she is the male protagonist's female lead/love interest, she will be undoubtedly forced into nearly every major story line for this show.

Same way Barry made money from his job.and what does being a former barista have to do with knowing how to work a computer? She was doing nothing complicated. Somehowno one cared when Cisco and co. We're doing the same thing during season 1. Iris isn't curing cancer. She's looking at a computer that has a layout of the city and uses common sense.

For the record I haven't seen the episode, but yeah...I'm with you on that. It doesn't matter if there's any truth to it. It is extremely degrading. Isn't the episode partially about Kid Flash not really being able to hang with Barry? Sure...the way they've built up the Flash in the series, he couldn't function alone. He's constantly getting advice on these guys weaknesses, etc from "Team Flash", but the dude is still essentially carrying the weight himself. Man..."Team Flash"...I hate even typing it out. And no...I can't stand "Team Arrow" any more. I think that's when my interest in these shows really begins to wane. When the cast just gets exponentially bigger and bigger, the shows lose their luster a bit. Too many people know secret identities...too many people with powers or black ops training. Hell, Arrow makes it seem like SEAL training is as common as P.E. I'm just excited they're streamlining the cast a bit this year, and we aren't getting another speedster. I'd have given up on the show completely. Are there even any evil speedsters left? Have they used Godspeed? I don't remember...three seasons in and 70 years worth of bad guys already used up.

Did she lie though? Where would Barry be without his team?

That kind of adds to my feelings on the point. All the CW versions need darn teams. I mean having colleagues that could assist u is cool but to the point that someone can say "we're the flash" and i can't even argue it? Yeah that sickens me a little. Plus it is funny though that we've now seen what Team Flash and Arrow are without their true leaders. Total trash. "U had to pull the dude out of the speed force to save the day. Calm yourself"

I think the therapist in the promo is the mom from Even Stevens.

Would it be nice if they had smaller casts? Yeah but it's been over 6 years now of all of them being neutered so I'm used to it lol.

Holy cow...[BLACKOUT]Iris cried and got mad multiple times last ep[/BLACKOUT] and now she's she's... just what?! What is this "we" stuff?! She's been riding Barry's coattails since the beginning, then Wally's and now she's actually taking credit for the team's work?! No wonder Wells wasn't in the premiere, he'd highlight how shoehorned and irrelevant Iris is.

Congratulations to the writers. They've made Iris West completely detestable, worse than Felicity Smoak.

It's no wonder can't stand her. She's an ungrateful petulant child.

I didn't have any problem with Iris being the battle commander and de facto leader. It makes sense when Vibe is a goofball, Wally is a hot headed kid, and Joe well he's leading the cops. The shows Iris is ten times better than comic Iris that's for sure.

Do they even have anyone else mature enough to take the reins at the lab?
