they look like a rap duo

Am I the only one who thinks the revised Flash cowl looks off?

IDK. The mouth opening was somewhat to wide before, but mow it doesn't seem wide enough.

I like it a lot more personally.
The small tweaks improved it greatly imo

..not that I really disliked the first one.

Wentworth looks like Eminem.

I've been saying this for years. :funny: He does.

Until he puts his hood up.:funny:

First, everyone was crying out loud that he needs to put the hood on, and now...? :funny: But jokes aside, I think he looks fine. I actually quite enjoy his performance as Cold; it suits Miller pretty well to play a comic book villain I think.

Yeah, I really think none of the DC trinity will factor into the universe established by the CW shows.

Heck, I'm willing to bet that Nyssa is Ra's only daughter in the CW-DCU, with there being no Batman or Gotham City in existence.

Also, would anyone else think it'd be redundant to do a "siege of the City" angle on Central City at some point in the series like how Arrow had done with Slade and his army?

Careful with those bets! :woot:

Marc Guggenheim: We’ve been talking a lot about that and we’ve got a variety of different choices for how to do Talia on the show. I think the challenge for us always is we want to do a version of Ra’s and by extension Talia that are different than what you have seen in the Chris Nolan movies and in other media, but it’s definitely been talked about.

Yes, it could be redundant, but is inevitable, sooner or later, the Flash will save Central City from the big bad. With all these shows, some plots and tropes are going to be redundant, that's why some years from now, people will get tired of the genre, too many movies and shows repeating a certain formula, similar villains, plots... is human nature to get tired of something after a while, is just a matter of when it will happen.

I think the Gorilla Warfare arc from the New 52 would be a perfect story arc to adapt for season 2.

Gorilla Grodd leads an invasion of Central City by the gorillas. He almost succeeds in taking it over entirely, but with the Flash temporarily incapacitated, the Rogues show up to defend the city. They look at Central and Keystone as their homes, and they don't take kindly to anyone attacking it. So the Flash makes it back to the scene and he, Cold, Pied Piper, et all save the day.

I guess let's put the idea of Kara in the CWverse on the back burner. Who knows how long "...for a while." means. Maybe forever.

The only thing Tassler says is that are no current plans to actively develop crossover between Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl, which is essentially the same thing Berlanti said during the CW press panel. The three series can easily exist in the same reality without having to actively crossover with each other.

I don't really care much about that Supergirl show, so I'm not exactly chomping at the bit for the shows to crossover with it. If it happens, so be it, but I don't think its a necessity.

Agreed.

I'm intrigued by it, but I wouldn't be horribly disappointed if it doesn't join the Arrowverse.

Yeah, what is with that?
I always thought a live action Captain Cold should just wear a blu parka and goggles, so I was stoked when they apparently nailed that- but then they give him the oddest and ugliest fur lining I've ever seen. It looks like a giant fat fuzzy caterpillar sitting on his head. Most fur linings on Parka's do not look like that, and I feel it's some fashion designers misguided attempt at being fresh.

Any thoughts on the theory:

(1) When Flash is created, a positive speed force is generated with every step he takes. For every step Flash takes toward the future...someone (RF) from the future is racing backward through time back at him.

(2) At the same moment Barry Allen Flash is created in 2014... a RF is created in 2024. So there is no one that wakes up with RF powers in 2014. He is born in 2024 and races thru time battling different time Flashes along the way. His eventual goal/destination is 2003 to meet Barry's mom the night of her death.

(3) This could explain why 2014 Barry doesn't know RF during their battle in episode 9 but RF says that he fights Barry many times.

(4) If RF is from 2024 running back then it could also explain why he is more superior/knowledgable than Barry during their encounters. RF being created in 2024 is always from a more technological/advanced time than Barry at any time period they meet. He is "always one step ahead" and Barry is "destined to lose to me". Barry can't really defeat RF from 2014 on but can he become powerful enough to defeat him in an altered timeline?

This could all be a bit much for the CW but fun nonetheless.

thoughts?
