Looks great! So is the new girl a DC character or one created for the show?

Me too. :D
Peek-a-Boo was a Wally West era "villain" (more of a tragic character than an evil one) created by Geoff Johns in 2002. Has teleportation powers.

She should have asked him if he was from South America or something.

Since they're also incorporating Wally West villains in the show, I hope to see Magenta or Cicada.

So is Iris now writing about the Flash as a villain, on her blog? What about the assault on Eddie? Is he now wanted? How is Joe expected to handle this?

Given on how Flash's rogues are centered more on using special effects, let alone Flash himself, do you guys think that the show would still have the budget to do something "big" like the "city destruction" angle that Malcom and Slade did with their attacks on Starling City?

Absolutely. Flash does about 50% higher in the ratings, on average, than Arrow does. And it probably had a larger budget to begin with, considering the nature of Flash and his villains combined with being a much more popular character than Green Arrow.

Flash is the highest rated show in the history of the CW and it's also a critical success. I think, until it starts to slip significantly, they'll do everything they can to push it. Especially if they're planning to continue launching spinoffs (Vixen, and a potential third live action show next fall).

Typically shows start off with a high budget that gets cut as the years go on. Stephen Amell did an interview where he explained that Arrow's pilot had a really high budget just for that episode alone, and that it's a bit unfair how studios will expect the same quality with a smaller budget for the rest of the reason, and how they usually take more money away in order to maximize profits once they see a show is successful.

That's technically true. but as long as the Flash gets the highest ratings on the channel, it should be all right. Though, I bet that may be why they are trying to do Grodd in the first year.

I still find it to be a miracle at times that the film department/DC Comics allowed the Flash to be used for a TV Series given on how they're trying to set up a DCU on film as well. I mean we know from past experiences on how the film department can really restrict TV Shows (ala Smallville) from using certain characters that are being put in development for the film division.

I wonder if the only reason they didn't was because Flash was already in development.

I understand the reason to embargo certain characters, but the whole thing does seem unfairly one-sided. Even if Arrow has a successful version of a character, the movies don't have any problem doing their own version. So I can't understand why the reverse is so problematic.

Indeed. Heck, Scarecrow and Ra's Al Ghul weren't allowed to appear in the Justice League episodes because of Nolan's films, and the Joker soon became off limits later on (after having made two appearances on the show).

When the new ceo of Warner Brothers was brought in. From what I remember they brought in a specialist and they told them don't worry about one cohesive universe on tv and film. Allowing for multiple visions of the same character such as Flash,Deathstroke, and Captain Boomerang among others.

But not Blue Beetle

But he's not planned for any film either that I'm aware of.

This is a off topic thought, but how would any of you feel if Eddie Redmayne was casted as Eobard Thawne in the DCU movie? He may not be physical, but he has the acting chops. But he's interested in these kind of things. Heck, I feel he could have been a better choice than Ezra Miller

That's said, it's also sort of fair; depending on how much they cut. Theoretically, the first season will always need to cost more since all the props, sets and costumes need to be sourced or built from scratch; where as later seasons are likelier to be able to use these pre-existing material. Likewise, they also need to spend less on auditions and hiring of crew. Basically, while salaries and effects are likely to cost the same, production as a whole should be cheaper.

Well, there's a quote from Zach Snyder about adding him to Justice League.

And there's no doubt that the Arrow writers were explicitly told not to use him for some reason.

I'm pretty sure the embargo on Batvillains for JL was due to The Batman.

I can't imagine how awesome Reverse Flash will be in the DCU movie. If they've done this good of a job on TV, I imagine the film version will be top-notch.

Ever since thepilot episode of The Flash, fans have theorized that time travel would be a key component of the show and it appears that the fans were right. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed to TV Line that time travel will be appearing in episode 15 of The Flash this season.
"There’s an unexpected, accidental time travel coming up and it is played both for hilarity and darkness. It happens in an episode we’re really excited it
