So what do you guys think is Future Barry and his timelines fate?

Did Thawne killing his mom erase him and his timeline?

Or did Future Barry simply return to his timeline after saving his past self, and Thawne's action only created an alternate timeline, with the original still existing (instead of being overlapped/erased)?

Though if Future Barry ceased to exist, I wonder how Thawne still had the AI that the Barry of the original world invented, and how he was in a possession of a newspaper that still showed a picture of Future Barry.

We also know that multiple coexisting timelines can exist, since the multiverse concept is going to be brought out next season. However this may not apply to the original timeline because it could have been erased.

Two worlds is often included in Flash greatest hits type books. For instance it's in the Flash celebration of 75 years which just came out. The trade also has other classic Flash issues worth looking at.
 Thanks.

I didn't think any of the Flashpoint tie-ins were any good except for Flashpoint:Batman. You're better off watching Flashpoint Paradox (watch after reading the main trade and the Batman tie-in due to spoilers)
I just checked Netflix. Sucks it ain't on there.

Volume 4 is Manapul's last. Volume 5 is by a just-for-hire team and is basically filler. Volume 6 is polarizing but it basically makes a future Barry Allen the villain of the story.
Why did Manapul leave?? He was so good. Vol 6 sounds good.

Now that I mention it, classic Silver Age Iris West is one hell of an unlikable self-centered and condescending character. I guess the show runners were trying to adapt that (jk, I'm apathetic to CW iris)
Haha! I really like Candice Patton, so idk. Her character can get a bit eye rolling but I don't think that's her fault. I get you.

Someone on twitter asked "why didn't eddie just shoot his ****?" :lmao:

If you thought that was funny...

I still don't know why Eddie didn't just shoot his dick off, or just his balls. Thematically, I understand. I just wish the writers hadn't structured Eddie's sacrifice in a way that didn't automatically make me think "wait, why didn't he just shoot himself in the dick?"

I gotta say if I have a choice between shooting my dick off or killing myself, I'll see you in hell.

Well, the original Wally was an interesting legacy character. the New 52 version was just a black version of Jason Todd the second Robin.

Besides literally every detail but being a kid who was caught by a superhero committing a minor crime.

Count me as one of those hoping that Jay Jackson being a pseudonym for Wally West in Legends of Tomorrow as being true.

I don't really care a lick about the Kid Flash identity. I grew up with Wally already in his big boy pants, and the devolution from Impulse to Kid Flash fro Bart sucked. Just give me a Flash inspired by his adopted cousin/uncle to follow in his footsteps, and I'll be fine.

There was some guy in China who cut off his own penis because, at the young age of 26, he could never get a girl friend and was feeling such despair. Then he regretted his decision immediately for having lost his head, and hopped on his bike and rode miles to the hospital to get it sewn back on, but either he forgot it at home or dropped it along the way. I can't remember which. So in the end it couldn't be reattached.

Anyway, 26 is barely your whole life lived that you should feel that hopeless.

If Eddie chopped his off and then Barry went back in time to save it with only 2 minutes to spare, he'd be cutting it very close.

Wow seriously? I wonder what his plan was for taking a piss. Did he want a vagina or something?

I hope Wally's characterization is more along the lines of Post Crisis Wally rather than New 52. I'm wondering how they're going to introduce Wally, because they never made any mention of Iris having any siblings or nephews in season 1.

I'm interested to see who they get to play him. I think it would be nice if they built up towards Wally eventually becoming The Flash

Also, if the easter eggs are to be taken seriously, I'm guessing that Hal Jordan will make appearances on both The Flash and (Green) Arrow next season.

I don't think he thought that far ahead. He just felt he had no more use for it.

OK, this is getting weird. Could we please get back to the original topic of the season finale, please?

Oops, I should have the original version of Jason Todd. He first showed up stealing the Batmobile's tires.

I hope we get to see Barry's suit evolve into the one that his future counterpart wore. Heck, I'd gladly go for something like this during next Season:

What if Barry has to go back in time to save Eddie because one of his descendants BEFORE Eobard is particularly important to history? Although Eddie killed himself to stop Eobard from existing, he didn't think about the consequences for other descendants down the line (eg his son or grandchildren). So Barry might have to save him reluctantly, even knowing that it would bring Eobard back to life.

My theory is that Eobard's disappearance from existence caused a rift in the space-time continuum and either Barry or maybe even Rip Hunter go back and prevent Eddie from shooting himself.

What if history only records that Eddie did nothing significant because that's the way it has been made to look (eg Rip Hunter has fixed this with records) so that any future time traveller won't focus on him at all but will overlook him?

It could be because he erased Reverse Flash from existence or caused a rip in the space-time continuum, but maybe his contribution to history could be underplayed and therefore Eobard thinks he's not of any great significance according to what he has seen in his future, even though these events with Eddie actually happen in the past, so to speak.

So, I think it's safe to say we're getting the white oval emblem next season right? I mean Cisco himself thought it was cool when he saw it on the pic of future Barry.
