Does anyone ever think that, when he wears the Flash mask, Barry looks a bit like a young Matt Damon in the suit? I'm talking about ONLY when the mask is on.

I know that I'm late to this party, but I just got to watch the season finale last night and have been driving my husband crazy with the but, but, but's of the episode. So I decided to join a forum today so others could help me with the "buts". First, time travel shows give me a major headache because I over think everything. Now on to my questions and theories.

First, I don't see the ending as a wormhole, but rather time correcting itself. But where will it restart? The day Barry becomes the Flash? The day that his mother died? 2020 when he originally became the Flash? For the sake of the show, I must assume it will be around the time that he became the Flash. But won't that mean Eddie is still alive making everything up until that point null and void?

Say that the present is a set point in time and it only rewrites the past. Wouldn't that mean that Barry doesn't become the Flash until 2020? That Well's is just Wells and not Thawn/Wells? Barry's mother will be alive and well? If that is the case, will Cisco be the only one that remembers the alternate timeline? And that is only if the particle accellerator still exploded. But wouldn't that mean that Cisco would have to manipulate everything for it to all happen as it did? Otherwise, he wouldn't remember the alternate timeline.

See what I mean??? But, but, but......I have 1000 more buts, but these are the main ones that kept me up last night.

I would actually love it if they would create a official comic book tie-in series, chronicling the events of Barry Allen and company from the original timeline, where his mom wasn't killed by Thawne.

Personally I think when he comes out of the singularity everything will have changed. It will be the same time that he entered but his mum would be alive as will wells. But everyone else's life will be bad. Not sure if Barry will be fast or not if not. Then he will have to get wells and the team to build the accelerator. If it is already built then I can see Caitlin being a villain and Cisco haveing his super powers.

All speculation. They might go to a different reality and see Jay Garrick. Or something no one has thought about. Really exciting and going to be a long wait.

It was fun to see Barry admonish Felicity for blabbing his name in front of Merlin in the Arrow season finale.

Hopefully going forward there will be less government agents and super villains knowing the heroes secrets.

Having seen some of the visuals from the Supergirl pilot, it's a shame that the CW isn't the kind of network that can provided that type of budget for this show. Man, can you imagine on how much more this show could do if they had a bigger budget to work with? I mean what they've managed to already pull off on their own is impressive as it is.

I do hope that they can manage to film more close up shots of the Flash running rather than reusing the same shots from previous episodes.

To this day, I can't see why they would choose to do that instead of taking the time to film new shots of Grant running in his flash suit. I mean all they need is a green screen behind him running on a treadmill and such as far as I understand. They could even reapply the same CGI background from previous episodes so it wouldn't really cost that much to do.

I only bring this up because there are noticeable differences between Barry's current mask and the one that he had used earlier this season that had a wider opening. Not to mention that they've reused the shot of Barry running around the first Weather Wizard so many times, where not only his mask is different but it's with a suit that didn't have the emblem on it.

I'm wondering about the Jay Garrick thing too, especially since his helmet came flying out of the time vortex. Why else would it have done that?

I thought this might sound right given there needs to be consequences to Eddie changing history. Perhaps it will open up with the beginning stages of Barry being Flash but he doesn't know the rest of team flash and maybe only Cisco knows what's going on regarding his powers.

I thought most of this might happen given there are consequences to Eddie's actions in changing history.

Anyone else notice the possible "trial of barry allen" reference in the finale?

In one of the alternate futures that flashed by Barry as he travelled through time was Barry in jail talking to his dad through the glass. I thought it was him talking to his father who was in jail, but I rewatched it and it's definately Barry in jail and handcuffed.

Maybe this is a reference to "The Trial of Barry Allen"? Maybe he's on trial for murder after snapping Thawne's neck

Oh, it kills me every time whenever I see something like this because until Candice's Iris starts acting more like her comic counterpart, I feel like Danielle's presentation of Caitlin in Season 1 and her interactions with Barry were the comic book "Barry Allen and Iris West" duo come to life.

Plus, it also helps that they have the best chemistry when it comes to the male/female quota on the show.

I don't see how Caitlin resembles Iris from the comics at all. She squirrelly and awkward. She's Felicity-lite. Iris has always been the opposite. Confident and self assured. She's a television reporter, she has to be. It isnt rare for here to scold or poke fun at Barry for one reason or another. Like her or not Iris on the show is similar to the comics only younger and less mature.

I think she's one of the most interesting characters in the Flash team. She acted well to portray someone who has a cold temperament with a bit of a quirk who's moved on to be a sweeter person while still retaining that quirk.

All those pics show to me is that Barry has interacted with Caitlin more often than Iris enough to grab screen caps such as those.

The writers are hardly following canon with Ronnie and Caitlin married. They're not a couple in the comics. I think it's part coincidence part on purpose. Caitlin just has the better story line and not to mention she looks like Iris from the comics doesn't hurt either.

Well, I suspect they had them marry so that, if it is indeed true that Ronnie will be killed off, that it will be part of the reason Caitlyn turns bad.

Ronnie won't be killed off. Firestorm is going to be on Legends of Tomorrow. However, I am starting to wonder if Legends of Tomorrow will be an alternate reality since Captain Cold is going to be a hero in it instead of a villian.
