So... Zoom is faster than RF. RF is faster than Flash and never lost a fight against him. Uh how the hell is Flash is supposed to fight Zoom? Team up with Jay Garrick? Swap places with future Flash?

Vibe. Captain Cold. Wally West (assuming he becomes a Speedster this season). Maybe Thawne helps. And I would suggest Killer Frost, but they may not be going that route this season.

Basically, Barry probably can't beat him alone. But maybe if he works with others, and controls his emotions better, then he will be able to stop Zoom.

With Jay Garrick's involvement, I wonder if we will see "The Rival" at any point. Like others have said, too many Speedsters may not be a good thing so they might hold back, unless they show it through Flashbacks.

The thing I found odd about the panel is the woman hosting it didn't seem to be sure who the actors were, as she couldn't tell there was no black guy there when asking for Jesse Martin, and seemed to be seeing who reacted as she slowly said Candice's name.

The cast are great though, much like with Arrow, AoS and Supergirl, I got the impression they all have a lkot of fun making their shows.

I notice they didn't mention Mirror Master on the panel, was that tidbit put out somewhere else at comic con?

I know that it was talked about at Wonder Con, not sure what interview it was in at Comic Con.

I'm not too fond of the multiverse theory being introduced. I like when things are simple to understand. This can easily get confusing.

I'm a little worried by the fact that they highlighted Patty Spivot's role as a "complications for Barry's Romantic life." Mostly because that's exactly my problem with that character, and seeing how the show handled Iris last year, and how the creative team handles Ollie's love life on Arrow and screwed up the classic Black Canary/Green Arrow relationship there....yikes.

This may seem kind of weird coming from a guy like me, but rom-com tropes are infinitely preferable to soap opera style problems. Both thrive on conflict, but of the two of them, rom-com would fit the tone on Flash so much better.

I don't know why they insist on introducing the iconic love interests at the very beginning and have them already be full on love interests and already breaking it down instead of building it up.

If Iris is the "destined" love interest, then they should just make her Barry's LI this season. She now knows that he's The Flash and appears to accept it. You could take part of the season to deal with the fallout from Eddie's death, and then put them together. Introducing yet another clearly temporary LI for Barry sounds really lame to me. Heck they already badly mis/underuse Linda Park in that regard, which was disappointing.

Because more hot women is a good thing. seriously though, I'm a bit confused whether They are playing Patti Spivot as more Felicity or maybe a younger Beckett from Castle. In any event hope they keep Shantel around for either Cisco or mystery guest Jay Garrick's LI when Barry and Iris get back together.

Okay, so am I the only one who thinks the blue streak of lightning is future Barry? Especially since Eobard tells Barry that he isn't the thing he hates? I assume Barry hates his future self since he's seen what he becomes.

I thought it could also indicated the Black Flash, meaning someone, like Jay Garrick, would die this season.

Having thought about it, Patty being Barry's immediate love interest could make a lot more sense if they play up the ramifications of Eddie's death for both Barry and Iris. If they handled it well, and that's a big if, going by the precedent these creators have set for other romances, than it could be a major character arc for both of them to get over the events of that day.

Like, if Barry feels incredibly guilty about it, so he won't pursue a relationship with Iris (and with Eddie having changed the future, doesn't consider a relationship inevitable at all) and Iris maybe feels guilty about any twinges of disloyalty she felt, and if they both clearly respect each other and don't blame each other, I'd like to see them rebuild their friendship and have that blossom into eventual romance.

Still leaves Patty as a walking false lead, but that's what she was created for, anyway.

On Zoom...

A part of me really wants him to be Wally's Reverse Flash stick back in time, with his motives being making Barry a "better mentor" for Wally. His Blue suit could make sense if Wally's got a silver/blue design to his costume.

Another part of me has the theory that Eddie is now locked into an unstable timeline like Zoloman was, and wants to make sure Barry delivers on being the hero Central City needs and the man Iris marries.

I never considered it before, but after just looking as a fanart photo, I really hope Eddie returns as Cobalt Blue or Zoom.

As for the romance, both Grant and Candace have said that their characters will not be jumping into a relationship right away and Eddie's death has a lot to with it. Barry feels really guilty, while Iris is still coming to terms with the fact that he's really dead and isn't looking for a rebound.
