FLASH Facts: The Assassination Of Iris West

Who else loved the
New 52 phasing-the-train moment?!
I geeked out so hard! Love this show for stuff like that.

Loved that as well, wasn't expecting to see him use that ability, thought they'd just repeat the train rescue from 1-04, but with Kid Flash also helping.

Getting a little tired of each season killing off a main character... the writers are being lazy with doing this all the time. hoping the twist isn't just that Iris doesn't die.... but that no one actually dies this season (Bar Savitar that is)

I certainly hope this is the case, it's gotten tiring that most of the shows having taken to annually killing off a main character, at least just this once I hope Barry manages to make sure everyone lives.

Well Thawne hasn't been killed off. Neither has Zolomon.

Technically speaking of course...

Eh, I think Zoom's state is sufficiently horrible and unrecognizable to count as "dead". There is no sign that anything that made Zolomon Zolomon is there, just a tormented zombie slave demigod.

this is what's going down this in the games world

He's the fastest man alive, and so it only makes sense that DC Universe Online would have an appreciation weekend for the Flash that shows up in the blink of an eye. The Flash Appreciation Weekend is running right now, and it ends on February 12th; you'd better act fast, or you'll miss it. Fortunately, there's not much you need to do, as just logging in will award Members with the Flash cowl costume piece. Not a member? That's all right; becoming one this weekend will also award you the costume piece.

You can also earn the Flash base pack just for logging in regardless of whether or not you're a member, and everyone can take part in the Flash Selfie Sweepstakes. Take a selfie of your character with any version of the Flash, upload it to Twitter, and maybe you'll win some cash for the game. Just make sure to hurry it up; you don't have that much time.Read more

The Flash Will Be Affected By Killer Frost’s Secrets

Ever since she got her frosty powers reminiscent of the other Earth’s Killer Frost, Caitlin Snow has been pretty much on edge. We can’t really blame her, since everyone knows what Killer Frost was capable of, and having similar powers and personas can easily mean an evolution towards that chillier villain.

from the looks of it, Caitlin’s issues are far from over, especially when it comes to her Killer Frost powers. EW’s Spoiler Room discussions (via Comicbook.com) have gone into frosty territory, and The Flash’s Carlos Valdes gives a quick peek at where we will find Dr. Snow for this season.
“Caitlin has some secrets of her own that are going to come to light and are going to change not just the dynamic of the team, but also her own feelings about her dynamic within the team. It all comes to a head.”
Valdes, who plays the role of Cisco Ramon, is the right guy to talk about this, considering how close his character and Danielle Panabaker’s is. The two had been together as almost-siblings before the lightning accident at S.T.A.R. Labs. And this season, Cisco has been the most visible when it comes to helping her deal with her Killer Frost abilities.
We don’t know what exactly these secrets are as of yet. Technically, Caitlin still hasn’t given up on having her powers removed, even if she has settled with just her new snowflake necklace that acts as a limiter to her powers.

Julian (Tom Felton) and Cisco are both also determined to help her in their own way, but it feels like there should be a big confrontation between Killer Frost and The Flash. After all, he’s underhandedly responsible for having changed her past and thus given her the cold powers.

The Flash airs Tuesdays on The CW.

Just got back from WalMart.....they have season two FLASH DVDs on sale for $14.96.

Just realized no episode of flash or LoT tonight. :csad:

*Starts flipping tables*

Didn't realize they were skipping a week. Oh well. One week is far shorter than a mid-season break!

I really, really want to watch that two-parter now!!!

I've been looking forward to this since the ending of last years Grodd episode, hope it delivers.

I've been thinking about this since the mid-season started, and after last episode, I'm now more than convinced. It's very obvious Iris West will not be killed by Savitar in the season finale. But do you know I think will be instead?

Joe West.

Season 4 - "Barry meets a new enemy in 'TimeWraith Prime', who enters Barry's plane of existence to stop him making another cataclysmic mistake of going back in time again, this time to save Joe.
TWP will use any means, including seducing Iris to accept her father's death and convince Barry to do the same.
He starts questioning his mission, when he starts to have feelings for Iris and considers bringing back Joe himself, to win her favour.

Ugh :D

I honestly hope that this is the last season where the main villain is a speedster.

If they go with yet another speedster villain for Season 4, where Barry has to figure out a way to get even faster, then someone should really call out the producers on how lazy and unimaginative they are when it comes to selecting big bads.

Personally, I'd go with Abra Kadabra as a main villain for Season 4, with a Revenge of the and War between the Flash's rogues serving as the secondary threat throughout the season.

Yeah Abra Kadabra could be a big bad. Even better if they could some how get Bruce Campbell to play him.

Kadabra better be used as a big bad, would be disappointing if he ended up just being a villain of the week like Mirror Master.

That's the main problem with these shows. So many iconic evil characters are just tossed out as nothing rather than delving into them for a season or two before they are caught. I don't recall about the Flash, but on Supergirl only Livewire was 'let go' at the end of an episode in an 'honor between enemies' scenario. I would like to see more of them get away, then have them being caught all the time and have to go through a complicated escape plot just to use them again.

I think he did it once with Captain Cold and that's about it. I know Gotham gets a lot of stick but one thing they've gotten right since around the middle of season 1 is having two/three episode arcs for some of their villains. Flash really should follow suit. Maybe do two episode arcs for smaller villains, four/five episode arcs for larger villains with the occasional hero of the week to help transition between story arcs. It might also allow for a better calibre of actors to play the villains. I really feel that is what season 2 should have done due to so many being from Earth 2, giving them their owns arcs that show how Zoom is using them to defeat Barry is fitting. He was basically just a taxi driver for them and let them do what they wanted once they arrived.

Why am I thinking those simple fixes will be too much for them?

I'm hoping at the end of this season of Legends Snart gets dropped back off in Central City to wreak some havoc on Flash's day again.
