Everyone has me so underwhelmed in advance to watch the Gotham pilot now. I haven't gotten myself to even view it. Eh.

I'd give it a view, the show is pretty polarizing atm, which can go either way. But I do agree with people that liked the Flash pilot more, the show has more focus in its pilot than any of Gotham's episodes so far.

Well Smallville was nearly 15 years ago, so I'd expect better special effects since then in comparison of pilot episodes.

I haven't seen Smallville in a while, so I didn't compare it to anything.

Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Arrow, Smallville... Flash - all these definitely have the feel of the network they are on. :-/ I'll try and get into it though.

I think you're looking at it backwards, considering those shows define the feel of the network and not the other way around. It's mildly obvious that a CW show is gonna be a CW show.

I was just responding to this.

Great start to the series, though I wished it was two hours. Lots of easter eggs and that ending concerning the Crisis. I love the premise about Barry and others who were affected by the lightning strikes that's similar to Smallville's origin. The Flash's super-speed effects blows away Smallville's by miles. This felt like a feature film.

Ya it is. The first superhero I got into before even Batman/Superman was actually the Flash. My first action figure too :D I just didn't want it to feel like a CW show if that makes sense.

Wow what an amazing show. That pilot was utter perfection, better than Arrow ever was.

Without going into a long-winded, overly analytical, nit-picky critique, I'll just say I enjoyed it and will be a regular viewer.

Great, fun pilot. Can't wait for the second episode.

Oh, and Gustin's performance was excellent. I hate to say it, but he's miles better than Amell already.

Don't hate saying it, because it's 100% true. Gustin is pitch perfect.

I thought the pilot was a nice start and a total contrast to Arrow's pilot. I like that the origin isn't to heavily explored also Grant Gustin seems to fit the role as Barry Allen perfectly. The effects of super speed brought back nostalgia to SMALLVILLE and Clark super speeding season 1 days. The Weather Wizard was a miss . STAR Labs team I like the dynamic. Seeing Zoom was an nice easter egg as well as the reference to Gorilla Grood. the ending of the episode with the two Flash's meet and the 2024 article featuring The Flash in his comic book costume was also a very nice nod. Let's see how the series progresses

I just didn't want to needlessly criticize Amell since we shouldn't even be discussing Arrow. But his performances are nearly always wooden, and it's so refreshing to watch a performance like Gustin's which was anything but.

This is exactly how I feel.

I'm anticipated season 3 of arrow greatly, but the acting has always been so bad!

Flash is a breath of fresh air and so naturally acted.

I liked this pilot better then Arrow's.Fantastic job:woot:
