THE FLASH
S3-E13 "ATTACK ON GORILLA CITY"

BARRY AND TEAM TRAVEL TO GORILLA CITY AND FACE GRODD – When Jesse Quick informs the team that her father has been abducted, Barry, Caitlin, Cisco and Julian voyage to Earth-2 on a rescue mission to save Harry from Gorilla City. As they trek through the forest, Barry and the team are immediately captured and brought to Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov). Grodd tells them he needs their help to stop Solovar (voiced by Keith David), the leader of Gorilla City, as Solovar wants to invade Earth-1. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jesse and Kid Flash hit the streets to stop a metahuman that can control gravity, with H.R. and Joe guiding them from S.T.A.R Labs.

Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & David Kob.
Airdate 2/21/2017.

This episode sounds really fun. Can't wait.

Tom Cavanagh will be all over in this episode as Harry Wells and HR Wells.

Good to have Kreisberg back. I've missed him.

I can already tell this is gonna be one of my favorite episodes.

I'm bursting with excitement after the promo. I have a feeling that the next two eppys will be amazing.

Just saw the teaser, and two episodes story in one show is not something I expected to find in these shows, not after Arrow's two parts introducing Barry Allen to TV audience.

How come Jesse doesn't go to Gorilla City to save her father? You'd think she would want to go along.

And how come HR didn't manage to persuade the team to take him along too, so that he would end up interacting with Harry? Are Cisco and the team going to tell him that HR is not a scientist at all as he claimed to be?

And why did they take all the scientists with them to Gorilla City in the rescue mission? There would be no-one to really help back in Central City. HR and Joe can't really do it. Why take Cisco, Caitlin and Julian?

My issue already as a nitpicky comic reader is the second synopsis revealing that Grodd recruits the team to put a stop to Solovar's plan to invade Earth-1. So unless this a trick or twist, Grodd's the good guy, Solovar's the bad guy now in TV canon, which has been my issue the moment they decided to go with Grodd as a sympathetic villain early on to make this precedent. Unless this synopsis is lying about that and Grodd's lying. They could be going with Grodd using Solovar's plans and the team's help to stage his own coup on Earth-1, but that leaves Solovar no longer a potential good guy ally no matter how you cut. Maybe Solovar's trying to stop Grodd preemptively by going to Earth-1 to stop his invading force, but they're just playing into a gambit set up by Grodd. I just don't trust the writer's are that smart, or will bother with the double-crossing.

As I'm probably the only Flash fan bored of Gorilla Grodd and every writer constantly going down that well, this seriously is one of the dumbest things I can nitpick about the show changing things from the comics though.:whatever:

As Solovar shouldn't be aware of all this Multiverse stuff, there is a good chance that he is not the real bad guy that want's to rule another world (he doesn't know at all).

I hope this episode is good, I enjoy Grodd and the Gorilla characters. He will never be the main villain based off budget reasons.

I think its a good solid 90% chance that, yes, the synopsis is a complete deception.

Can't wait to see the gang journey to Gorilla City!

All this posting in this thread, and I thought it was on this week and everyone was discussing it. :argh:

How come it's not on, as well as Legends of Tomorrow? And why is Arrow on instead?

Probably because tuesday was Valentine's day.

Stupidest reasoning to not air an episode

Well no. They're assuming everyone is out at dinner celebrating, so they anticipate their ratings for live TV would go down, even though most wouldn't watch via live TV, and most of the audience for these CW shows probably don't have dates anyway.

Solovar looks awesome! Can't wait to see him battle Flash!

The level of the CGI in this show continues to impress me.

If those pics are any representation of the episodes overall quality, this'll probably be their most visually impressive episode yet.
