The Friday The 13th Movies Thread - Part 2

Jason X!!!

ALso, WB has been doing right with their horror films, so it would be a good place for it.

Given that they apparently pulled the plug because Rings didn't do well (a horror film that has nothing in common with F13 aside from being another horror film), the idea of them starting up again because IT (another horror film that has nothing in common with F13 aside from being another horror film) is doing really well, isn't that hard to buy actually.

And if the new Halloween movie does well next year, that may start things up again as well.

Basically they seem very reactive most of the time is what I'm saying.

It isn't them (Paramount) starting up again it will be Warner Bros as that's where the rights revert back to next year. So it's the same company that has just had a smash hit with IT so they'll probably want to jump on the horror trend as much as possible and quickly green light both Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street movies in the next few years.

Honestly at this point, I'd rather WB get the rights. At least they'd probably TRY and do something with this franchise.

Here is hoping that the success of "IT" will give the studio a stronger belief in horror films.

It's #Friday13th week! Will try to post new fun stuff. Here's cover to our unmade sequel w/ never before published title. RT if you like!

I remember that was supposed to take place in the winter. Which would've been interesting.

Encore has been playing Friday the 13th movies for the last few weeks leading to a movie marathon this Friday in descending order from Jason Takes Manhattan to the first one.

Probably my favorite franchise of any genre...though I stick to the original Paramount 8.

I'm watching the original this AM while I'm free and I didn't really remember much about it except for the climax.

The cinematography is excelltn, especially in the beginning. I like the 'Final Girl' too and that broad Bacon sizzles up is sexy as hell.

It has gotten a little slow though, meandering even

Only one in netflix in here is chaper 5 :/ Migth as well take a look at JIMO. (Jason In Mask Only)

According to Box Office Mojo, adjusted for inflation, the original movie made 131 million.

Encore is running a marathon starting 10 a.m. in the morning. I might bounce back and forth between the baseball game and Friday the 13th in-between innings.

I've opted for Jason Goes to Hell! :lmao:

I was gonna go for that one but I wanted to watch one of the classic Friday’s. I actually love Jason Goes to Hell its bloody mental :funny:

Mine too, although for me it’s the
First 8 plus FvJ and the reboot that I love. JGTH I love also but its its own wacky thing in a way. Jason X is the only one I really can’t stand.

All of the F13 movies have redeeming qualities... except Jason Goes to Hell. That movie is so dull.
