I'm a bit perplexed and a bit amused that my nephew got angry with me for not knowing where to go in Skyrim. He was insistent I don't join the Imperials but as I'm escaping that one city after the dragon attack I had no idea where the other guy went. He turned it into a life lesson about figuring things out for yourself. I told him I was different and with games like Skyrim I need a bit of guidance or I'll just run around in circles not knowing what I'm doing. He yelled at me and asked me if I wanted to play Monster Hunter for the rest of my life. Actually I could see myself still playing Monster Hunter for the next forty years but I didn't tell my nephew that.

If you make it out of the city with the Stormcloak dude, I'm pretty sure the Imperial guy is dead by then. You have to follow one or the other from the beginning. You could always join the Imperials by going to any Imperial camp or asking an Imperial soldier about recruitment, though. Just escaping with the Stormcloak doesn't automatically make you a Stormcloak.

Oh dear god...
You've discovered the gaming threads. Maybe if we don't respond, she'll go away. OH! Too late!

Run away!

Oh man. That ScrewAttack video brought back dark memories. I had completely forgotten there was a Catwoman game based off the movie.

I forgot about the movie until I watched that video

Bought Knights of the Old Republic off Steam today for 8 bux, man i loved that game. Was gonna get Jedi Academy but the damn thing isn't for Mac. Guess ill just go with Jedi Outcast.

Jedi Outcast is the better of the two games, although Academy was a decent sequel. It's always more fun to play as Kyle himself rather than just having him as your character's mentor, though. :)

I actually liked Jedi Academy better, if only because I could make my own guy.

Anyway, Pat you should wait until Valve does their summer sale. I snagged the whole Dark Forces/Jedi Knight franchise for like $6 or something last year.

I always liked Academy better. I liked creating my own dude. I still have both games, just nothing to run them on.

Damn, thats awesome. I was looking at them all last night, but oddly the only one available for Mac was Outcast.

I just bought Duke Nukem Forever for four bucks... Just because I needed something dumb/fun. I expect nothing more than a slight graphics updates to Duke 3D.

I mean.. The game that tool forever to come out. Four bucks is worth that, lol.

You're still expecting too much

I don't believe there was any graphics update :woot:

I already chuckled a few times. So.. A few bucks worth of laughs..

I liked Jedi Academy more too just for the same reason: I can create my own guy.

Haha I don't blame you, I plan on doing the same, just so I can say that I've experienced Duke Nukem Forever.

Heads up if you get Game Informer through Gamestop

About a year ago, GameStop started offering digital subscriptions to GameInformer magazine, you'd get your copy of the magazine through your email and you could also access its back catalog and what-not.

Well, because people like having actual books in their hands when they read and they like to actually have collections, the digital subscriptions have been doing EXTREMELY poorly, and the company doesn't like that - presumably because it costs more for them to print the magazines than it does to email them.

Word was handed down from on-high yesterday that we lowly gamestop employees are supposed to push the digital subscriptions. That was fine, I'm okay with that. About an hour later, our District Manager called us up and told us that we're not just supposed to push digital subscriptions, but that we are now to automatically sign subscribers up for the digital subscription at the time of their purchase or renewal without asking them. We were told that the only way a customer should be getting a print issue of the magazine is if they explicitly ask for it. That's right: even you folks who have ALREADY TOLD US you want a print copy, if you renew your card, you will be signed up for a digital sub unless you explicitly ask for the physical copy.

I've got my own opinions on the matter, but just so I run as few risks as possible, I won't put them out here. My job today is just to keep you informed because the company for which I work tells me I'm not allowed to.

TL;DR: Unless you explicitly ask for a physical magazine subscription, you're getting digital. We're not allowed to ask anymore, we're just supposed to sign you up digital without informing you of the options.

Got this from Reddit, so not sure how accurate it is.
