The sequel should feature John's descendant, William Moulton Marston, and be about sexual deviancy. :awesome:

Brokeback Mountain style ? Do you want all of the male characters saying to each other "I don't know how to quit you" ?

Well, no, because that'd just be homosexuality, which doesn't qualify as deviancy. Threesomes and bondage would be my choices. That's what Marston was actually into. ;)

Haha, that would be unbeatable.

That's why I liked the Red Harlow skin in the RDR Multiplayer :P

John pretty much always had on a poncho in my game. The first time I got a skin with a poncho, I actually cheered. That's the quintessential cowboy look to me.

I bought Fable 3 in the Steam sale. I was liking it early on, but I can see why people hate it. Definitely seems like the devs started thinking, "meh, whatever. Just think of something for the player to do."

I thought the story started interesting with you having to start a revolution against your brother. But what's incredibly annoying is you're forced to do side quests before you can make progress in the main quests at certain points. It wouldn't be bad if they weren't so boring and recycled.

I was expecting a boss fight when you began the revolution, but your brother just gives it up and you learn that the shadowy creatures (which you encountered less than 10 min) are coming to Albion. So the rest of the game is basically an economy simulator with you having to acquire enough money to raise an army. I'm sure many people decided to give up at this point.

Granted I haven't played the previous 2 Fable games much but I hope they have more once you become the ruler or whatever the goal is. I'm kind of glad I played this first, it wasn't bad but I definitely don't feel like coming back to it.

I felt the same way.

Once you became king and made those 'tough' decisions, that was it. There was never any more to it and that section was so short, it just didn't have any lasting impact for me. I dont think i even own that game any more and i rarely, RARELY trade or sell my games.

Gears of war 3 for 15 at best buy fyi

I can definitely see why. I don't have the option to get rid of it, but I'm seriously considering uninstalling it right now since it's taking up well over 10 GB and I have no desire to play a real-estate sim.

Hopefully Fable 1 can redeem this purchase since I got that with it.

Fable 1 is the only really good game in the series. :/

I used to not like Fable II, but Fable III was so awful that it made me look back on the second one a lot more favorably.

Amazon is having an All Video Games Gold Box event starting midnight pacific time July 24th.

Thought of getting the third, heh, won't do that anytime soon

I liked all of them. Fable 3 could've been better when you become monarch, sure, but it wasn't terrible or anything.

I disagree, Fable III was pretty damn bad. The way they changed the emote system, how you had to do a mind-numbing fetch quest every time you became friends with someone, the map screen was totally inaccurate rendering it completely useless, the game lacks anything resembling challenge, the whole black ooze invasion plot came out of absolutely nowhere, and everything after you become king is complete garbage with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Yup.

Fable III is quite possibly the biggest game disappointment, for me, ever.

My problem with Fable, is it seemed like it was a poor mans Elder Scrolls. I mean i loved the look and feel of the games but none of them were very expansive. They felt way too small.

Fable 1 was great fun.. sadly, it was also like, the last time armor appeared.. or really mattered in the game.

Everything was "clothing" from that point on... And pretty lame.

I can't remember anything about Fable 1. I only played it once and that back when it came out. I remember i liked it tho. Fable II i thought was ok and Fable III was cool until you became king. Either way, iv never had a desire to replay any of the games and as i said in an earlier post, i dont even have my copy of Fable II or III any more, which is super odd for me. I do believe i still have Fable 1 tho.

So Android is making a console called the "Ouya" and it's going to be the size of a rubiks cube.

Sounds pretty cool.

The best part is it's mod friendly. It's essentially a weak PC but damn, for $100 I can't wait to get one and set it up so it emulates all the old systems.
