With Mortal Kombat entering the realm of PC, and the possibility to see Injustice follow it, I think there is a fair chance for RDR to be ported

Yeah, one has nothing to do with the other. Especially since Rockstar has said RDR won't be ported to PC.

It's already 3 years old. The sales they'd make from it won't justify the time and money required to port it.

Yeah, Rockstar came out saying it wasn't really viable way back in 2011:

"All we can say is that whenever it is viable (technically, developmentally and business-wise) for us to release a game for PC (or any other particular platform) – we will and we usually do; unfortunately, that is just not the case 100% of the time for all platforms."

The RDR on PC boat sailed away a long time ago.

I certainly hope there's a sequel and on the PC, but it'll be awhile. They won't release anything big shortly after GTAV.

Giant Bomb fans: Obviously Ryan is irreplaceable, but with Ryan gone and Patrick having moved to Chicago, that leaves us with only three core members. Maybe just two and a half if you consider that Vinny splits his time between on-camera/mic stuff and behind the scenes work.

Do you think they'll hire someone new to come on as a new fourth guy? (If so, who would you like to see?) Or will they hire someone for behind the scenes stuff and "graduate" Drew or Rorie to a more prominent position?

I think they'll graduate Drew if he wants to be in front of the camera more often. But if he doesn't then they'll hire someone else to be apart of the group. I see some places saying Giant Bomb is dead and what not and its like no not at all, as horrific as it is places lose employees all the time. You just hire someone new and hope they work.

I think Drew and Rorie will be sitting in more on QL's and TNTs and UF's in the immediate future but I don't see that being a permanent thing. I don't think Rorie seems to have the gaming background or enthusiasm necessary to get upgraded to being a part of the "core" cast.

My guess is give it 3-4 months and we will probably see somebody else bought in.

That's ridiculous. I remember in one of their earliest videos, or maybe it was a podcast, Jeff said specifically that they wanted Giant Bomb to be an ongoing thing that lives on past all of them.

Konami ID portal breached, change your password

On July 8, Konami discovered numerous access errors through its Konami ID portal site and subsequently commissioned a report. Over 35,252 successful unauthorized logins were uncovered out of nearly four million attempts to gain access – similar to the Club Nintendo Japan hacks reported last week.

The access was achieved through login information Konami believes leaked from "an external service provider." Konami suggests all users change their passwords as a precaution and will individually contact owners of affected accounts who may have had their username, password, address, telephone number, date of birth and email address information stolen from the third-party leak.

In response to the breach, Konami says it has "strengthened its security and raised its monitoring level, and measures have been taken to ensure that IDs and passwords involved in these unauthorized logins can no longer be used to log in."

Those are my thoughts as well. It's gonna take a bit of time before they add a new member. They'd probably want enough distance so it's not like "Here's the new Ryan!" I can't imagine who in the community they'd add to their roster though.

Twitch to stream Video Games Live, debut music from Destiny, AC4

If you were sad that you couldn't make it out to the Video Games Live concert at Comic Con this week, you're about to give Twitch a great big hug. The 20-song concert, featuring orchestral renditions of some of your favorite game music, will be streamed live on Twitch Saturday night. It's also your chance to get a sneak peek (or listen, really) at music from upcoming releases Assassin's Creed 4 and Destiny.

Other set list representatives include Dota 2, Diablo 3, Street Fighter 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Journey, Skyrim, Chrono Trigger, and Chrono Cross. Streamers can expect to tune in to a bit of Final Fantasy and Castlevania too - it wouldn't be VGL without a bit of FF.

The streamed pre-show begins at 9PM ET (6PM PT) on Saturday, July 20, featuring interviews with some of the composers behind the tunes on show, including Journey's Austin Wintory and Dota 2's Tim Larkin - and Metal Gear Solid voice actor David Hayter - why not, we suppose. American McGee's OZombie Kickstarter canceled, Alice movie Kickstarter begins later this week

American McGee's Spicy Horse development studio is abandoning its Kickstarter for OZombie, a twisted take on L. Frank Baum's novels. The project had 2,607 backers and raised $141,513 of a $950,00 goal, with approximately three weeks to go.

"The Oz campaign has to end. There are two realities driving the decision. First, we're facing a challenge with the Alice film rights," wrote McGee on the campaign's Kickstarter page. "Second, we wouldn't consider shutting down the Oz campaign if it were trending towards success. As it is, we've reached 15 percent of our goal with 20 days left in the campaign. Projections suggest we'll hit 30 percent of our goal by campaign end. I've been telling myself to remain optimistic and see this thing through – but when the reality of our funding trend is combined with the pressure of the Alice film rights situation..."

What Alice film rights? Well, turns out that McGee isn't thinking about a third game for his darker take on Alice in Wonderland, but about some kind of animated short or film.

"For Oz, we can always launch another campaign in the future. On the other hand, the Alice film rights are only within reach during a rapidly closing window of opportunity. We'll sacrifice Oz today in order to have a real chance with Alice." McGee continued, "Now we turn our attention to Alice. Securing these film rights would be nothing short of a major coup. We'd control a significant portion of Alice's future. Being able to produce animations, feature films and related merchandise means keeping Alice's world fresh, no matter what else might happen with the game portion of the property. I hope you'll join us in making this a reality."

That Kickstarter is scheduled to start later this week.

I'm curious about this Asura's Wrath game. I'm downloading the demo, seeing what it's about. I'll probably pick up 3rd Strike.
