I genuinely have absolutely zero idea as to which part of Elvis makes people think "yeah that'd be a good Clark Kent". I could see Austin doing maybe a decent line delivery as Superman but his Clark would be extremely off. And even as Superman he'd look bizarre in the suit.

Frankly, I felt he was miscast as Elvis and is really only suited to playing villains or shady characters. He does not have leading man charisma AT ALL, imo.

One suggestion I saw in here a while back that I really liked was Leo Suter from Sanditon and Vikings: Valhalla.

29 years old, 6'2", seems like a solid actor, great voice. I'd be a bit gun shy of casting another Brit after Cavill tbh, but I already know this one at least has some of that warmth Cavill was missing, so I'd be optimistic.

Austin Butler was the SNL host last night for anyone interested. Sketches are hit or miss, but I thought Butler did alright. I found him likable enough

I agree, it makes his clark far more relatable.. then a slick hair cut and muscles will compliment the suit.

Dean Cain, as an example looked and acted very different from superman to clark - his clark felt very real and his superman an act (when addressing the public). I want superman when in public, addressing crowds or after a save, I want him, not so much to appear awkward but reserved, stoic I want that differentiation compared to office clark, however on a more personal level, when superman addresses say a child in distress we see this warmth and kindness.

Thanks for mentioning Leo Super, he checks so many of the boxes. He is relatively still an unknown, tall enough at 6ft 2, extremely handsome without looking like a model, with a believable superhero physique, a great deep voice, smart(Oxford med), and talented enough and willing enough to carry off both Superman and as important, Clark Kent, which sadly a lot of the actors mentioned probably can not.

Vikings has filmed both season 2 and 3 so he should be free, and able to cut his hair and beard. I doubt he gets a chance, but he has been in LA in the past, casting agents may know who he is. He has the talent and the on screen charisma to carry it off.

Still my second choice after Corenswet

Definitely want a more active supporting cast, especially the Daily Planet. Spot on with Odenkirk, and I like Tikka Sumpter as Cat Grant.

Grazer as Olsen is also great. I could see Noah Jupe as a younger Olsen too that would bring the same energy, if you want to avoid the Shazam! recast.

And as much as I like Adria Ajorna as an actress I’m saving her for the Wonder Woman reboot lol.
