I rewatched Peacemaker’s finally and looked at that Superman at the end. He was tall and then. I think Gunn is looking for a Christopher Reave or Brandon Routh to type to play his Superman.

That was a stand in for Cavill, there's absolutely zero evidence that he would be looking for a Routh/Reeve physique. Most actors aren't built like superman already so they'll work to achieve whatever look the studio wants, even Cavill was slender and before MoS.

always found the physique he had especially compared to Bruce's in that "the Batman" cartoon from the early 2000's, an intersting example of their difference in body types (where a lot of other times they are drawn to have a very similar body types)

You can tell this came out during the Superman Returns era because that Superman/Clark does look a bit like Brandon Routh.

KJ is not naturally a ginger, I have been pushing for him as Supes for ages, big time team KJ.

I've been watching some Riverdale against my will recently, and I cannot stress this enough: Keep that guy away from any movies I'll have to watch, please.

I never understand this mentality. If you ever did or had watched Home and Away or Neighbors you would never think Margot Robbie, Heath Ledger, Chris Hemsworth and tons of others could make it into Hollyweird and be A list actors.

Bad acting is bad acting. I know my own tastes to know a good Supes when I see him, and that dude ain't even in the ballpark. No thank you please.

I like KJ well enough, but I’m not sure I see it.

As for the others, Timothee would never do it (nor should he), Asa Butterfield has uncanny valley face, the one from Euphoria needs to prove he can play something other than a sociopath, etc. etc.

The one I like most there is Dylan Minnette, but I think he’s too boyish. Maybe Nightwing, though.

Dude couldn't pass as 25, and also he just looks too much like Cavill ( I know some people don't agree) but wouldn't pass for a 25 young supes.

I honestly have no current favorite. We will eventually start hearing who's up for what role.
Until then it's all fun and games.
That said, I'm pretty sure Gunn will nail the superman casting, because I can't think of any casting in gotg I didn't like.

I know what you are getting at by Cornsyrup doesnt embody the look of a 25 yr old. He looks strongly in his 30s.

As for other comments on how he doesn't look like Cavill... There are numerous pages of sites comparing the two. It isn't just me that thinks it.
