If Punk continues to take off, then I could see HHH putting Punk over at Mania. He put Big Dave and Cena over.
True. Never mind he was the one that tapped to Benoit's Crossface at Wrestlemania no less, so it can happen. Sometimes I think we all dig at HHH a little too much...

But just a little.:oldrazz:

You beat me to it but I was just thinking of some fantasy booking myself even though I rarely do this. Guess the excitement of the past month in WWE has gotten the better of me lol.

Bear with me, this is long, but I put lots of thought into it, and would appreciate feedback.

Instead of booking all the way through WM for one title I've just been thinking of the WM card and the top matches on it. Looking ahead I think the show has potential to have like 4 big main events.

  • Rock v. Cena = Obviously going to happen. It shouldn't be for the title though, it doesn't need it at all. This should be the main event because as much as I hate to say it I doubt anything will be able to follow it.

  • Bryan v. Orton - WHT = If they allow this Bryan thing to play out the right way he has 8 months to be built up spectacularly. Let him work his way through the SD roster working with everyone. Slater, Gabriel, finish his program with Cody, go through Barrett, Sheamus, and eventually take down Henry at RR. After that, he'll be more than credible enough to walk into WM as a championship challenger. Not sure who the champ will be then, but I'm thinking probably Orton because who else is there on SD?

  • Undertaker v. ?? - Streak match = Taker will be there unless he's crippled, the guy won't stay down for better or worse, and with this being the 20th Streak match I can't fathom him missing it. Not entirely sure who the challenger should be, but I wouldn't be opposed to Jericho if he's back in time. He'd be able to help Taker to a fantastic match, and is a big enough star to be worthy of what may be the last streak match. Other options could be Sheamus if they get serious about getting him back on the right track, or possibly Barrett, who Taker is said to be high on and wants to work with (but he'd need VERY strong booking to get to that level).

  • Triple H v. CM Punk - WWE Title = I don't have a clue where this Punk thing is headed and I like it that way. That being said, when he does come back he should engage in a unification match against the current champion, the storyline writes itself. Miz could work like Nell suggested, but I'd prefer Cena. They still have unfinished business, and no way they keep the title off Cena all the way until WM. Let Cena get it back in the fall just before Punk comes back, then at the Royal Rumble they have their big final showdown. By this point Punk is an anti-hero/face, the rebellious voice of the voiceless, fighting a still face Cena who doesn't realize he's a big part of what's wrong with the company. Punk wins and becomes the undisputed champion. This also allows the Rock/Cena match to be nontitle.

Up until this point, I'd have Triple H very rarely be on tv. He's the new Mr. McMahon, and in recent years we haven't seen much of Vince so HHH should follow in those foot steps. Also keep in mind he's currently a face, and was forced into his new position. This wasn't heel HHH scheming his way into a coup to gain control over the company. He's a corporate business man now who was forced into this role by the Board of Directors. Until RR, he should make rare appearances, only when an authority figure is needed, and not really involve himself in angles as a heel or face.

The old (heel) Triple H should only come back after Punk returns and becomes undisputed champ. His motivation is that he now is in charge of the well being of the WWE, and Punk's the man who turn the company upside down, disgraced the title he loves so much, and began the chain of events that led to his father in law being forced out of his own company.

Triple H's turn is made interesting by the fact that he's essentially become what he's always hated: the establishment. He's not the DX crotch chopping renegade anymore. He's wearing suits in board meetings. He's not fighting the boss, and kicking his father in laws ass, he IS the boss, and he's turned into Vince. I'd even have him cut a promo where he admits he finally sees why Vince was always the way he was, and why he now needs to become that person. "You can't do this job without being the bad guy. When you're the boss you need to do things people don't like for the good of the company. I finally see that now." Something like that. Perfect character and heel turn for Punk to play off as the rebel anti-hero.

I'd have the Cena/Punk match go on before the Rumble, and have HHH be a surprise entrant half way through, and win it to get his title shot against Punk. HHH added himself last minute after seeing Punk win. From there, the story writes itself, leading to the big blowoff where Punk beats HHH for the title. This cements Punk on top, almost as a new Austin type figure. The unlikely hero, the champion of the oppressed, bla bla bla.

There you have it, FOUR main events appealing to every segment of the audience. Indy/hardcore/internet fans have Bryan in a title match. Mainstream casual fans get Rock and Cena. Taker appeals to pretty much everyone and since he's on borrowed time no one will miss a streak match. Punk and HHH capitalize on the insane hype around Punk, and with Punk going over you hook the people who have been watching/cheering for Punk.

I had reservations about HHH winning the Rumble, but to put over Punk, with Bryan in a title match, and possibly another young guy being made by working with Taker, there are enough young stars being spotlighted and solidified on the show to justify an old name winning the Royal Rumble.

Thoughts???

I think it would be really cool if Bryan didn't cash in his breifcase the way everyone else does. Instead he goes to Teddy Long uses it to make an official match ahead of time. Is that something he can do?

Should be, RVD did it. They
said that's his plan on SD
so it must be allowed.

Okay cool

[BLACKOUT]I wasn't sure if his plan meant that he was gonna cash in after the actual title match like most people do or if he was gonna actually try and get a match scheduled.

Cole did interview Bryan and said Bryan's MITB win was a fluke and he was probably going to cash in on a weakened champion. Bryan said he wasn't going to win that way.

Well, that would surely get me to purchase WM28.

Thoughts???

The rest of my Wrestlemania card would probably look something like this:

Main Event
John Cena v. The Rock

WWE Championship
Triple H v. CM Punk (c)
-Explained in my previous fantasy booking post.

World Heavyweight Championship
Daniel Bryan v. Sheamus (c)
-I honestly don't know who I would have as champion at this point. I don't know if keeping Christian as champion for this long would be a good idea. Perhaps someone like Sheamus or Wade Barrett? Ideally, I wouldn't have Daniel Bryan in a Wrestlemania title match, but it seems as though that is the direction WWE is taking. Bryan cashing in this way does make sense for his character. Outside of Christian, I do think that Sheamus might be the best option here. He's a better worker than Wade Barrett, a much more established character, and I think would be a good option to take the belt off of Sheamus.

In fact, ideally, I would have had Sheamus win Money In The Bank, and cash in on Christian after he beat Randy Orton. Sheamus is half way towards being a face anyways, I think that cashing in on Christian would finalize that. He's been feuding a bit with Wade Barrett, I think a title program between Sheamus and Wade Barrett would be pretty solid.

As it is, I think I'd have Sheamus take the belt off of Christian, and then hold on to the belt until Wrestlemania, where he would face Daniel Bryan. Perhaps this is how we have our first cash in and lose, as Daniel Bryan, kayfabe not ready for the big show (and perhaps even just in general as well) gets beaten by the more seasoned Sheamus.

Streak Match
Randy Orton v. The Undertaker
-Undertaker would win, going a perfect 20-0 at Wrestlemania, but Randy Orton would get a boost from punting Undertaker into retirement, capitalizing on an Undertaker who has been weakened from previous Wrestlemania matches

Grudge Match
The Miz v. Chris Jericho
-The Miz is essentially Chris Jericho-lite as it is - Jericho has obviously had a lot of influence on Miz' character work. I would love to see a Chris Jericho v. Miz feud based on the fact that Miz is essentially stealing Jericho's bit, and Jericho comes back to set the record straight.

Grudge Match
Sin Cara v. Rey Mysterio
-Hopefully the rumors aren't true that WWE is going to cut ties with Sin Cara following his suspension. I think Sin Cara v. Rey Mysterio needs to happen, and this is where to do it.

Intercontinental Championship*
Christian v. Cody Rhodes

United States Championship
*
Dolph Ziggler v. John Morrison
-Just because it was teased at last Wrestlemania, and while I'm not the biggest Dolph Ziggler fan, I think they'd put on a hell of a show. The question is, does Ziggler hold the belt until Wrestlemania? Or does he lose it and get it back at some point? Or does Morrison go into Wrestlemania with the belt?

*I'm really not 100% about these matches, or who should be the champions going in, and who should win coming out, but I think that all the main titles should be defended at Wrestlemania, and as such I'm just really throwing some names around that have a bit of star power, and aren't necessarily "fantasy matches" for me. I was disappointed that the Sheamus v. Daniel Bryan match for the United States Championship was taken off the Wrestlemania 27 card.

I was actually going to suggest this too, if I ended up putting Taker against Sheamus or Barrett. Miz and Jericho would work great together. Just didn't include it because that was already getting to be too long lol... good call.

Thoughts???

Triple H vs Punk for rights to the WWE championship perhaps. I guess mine would be :

Rock vs Cena

CM Punk vs Triple H

Undertaker vs Chris Jericho

Sin Cara vs Mysterio / I. C. Title

Cody Rhodes or Wade Barret vs Randy Orton / WHC

and the rest is too hard to determine. I do hope somebody gets the ultimate push/lives the dream. I'd love for it to be Daniel Bryan and I'd settle for Morrison.

As far as I know, Money In The Bank 2011 isn't scheduled for Blu-Ray, but if you'd like to request for it (along with future good shows with preferably the DVD version also included) to be released on the format, send your feedback here - https://secure.wwe.com/forms/help/show.php

I'll be mad if that's the case. MITB is a must buy for me and having in on blu makes it so much better.

I would be cool with Flair coming back to WWE as long as he shows some effort. If Ric Flair has a fire lit under him we could see someone get owned on the mic.

That would be awesome.

Flair belongs in WWE wither making occasional appearances like Roddy or any non wrestling on-air role would suffice . If Trips is taking over heel style then he could have Flair around like in his Evolution days.

I'm gonna try to get Monday off and get a cheap seat for Raw

Speculation on WWE Working with ROH, Update on CM Punk's Storyline & More

There are people in WWE who don't know this for sure but strongly suspect there is some kind of working agreement between Ring of Honor and WWE. There are also people in ROH who think the same thing. At the same time, people on both sides insist there is nothing going on between the two companies.

Sources insist that some of the things CM Punk spoke about in his infamous RAW promo a few weeks back will start finding their way onto WWE TV soon. For example, Punk talked about Triple H taking over and he began that storyline on this week's RAW. Punk also mentioned John Laurinaitis and Colt Cabana, both who appeared on WWE TV in the past week. While Cabana wasn't named by the announcers, he was shown at ringside on Money in the Bank and was photographed with Punk and the WWE Title in Chicago after the pay-per-view. Punk also mentioned Ring of Honor, which adds to the speculation that WWE may be working with them.

For what its worth, Cabana has told at least one indy promotion that he's worked regularly with that he's not taking any more bookings with them after next month.

Possible ROH invasion?

Me likey.

- Devin sent the following: WWE's house show in Reno, Nevada on August 7th, 2011 has been canceled. Refunds are available at the point of purchase. This is the third time since fall of 2010 that a WWE event in Reno got axed.

- Some of the commemorative CM Punk t-shirts that sold out at Sunday's WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view are going for over $500 on eBay this week.

- The long-term plan for Vince McMahon to lighten his WWE duties in real life was for his current run to end around WrestleMania 28, with Triple H taking over the day-to-day activities. Even then, Vince will still oversee everything and won't be going anywhere.

This marks the fifth straight year that Vince has written himself off WWE TV in some form or fashion. In 2007 he was blown up in a limousine, 2008 saw the RAW set fall on top of him, in 2009 he sold WWE to Donald Trump in the storylines but still appeared some and last year, he was beat up by Nexus and put in a coma.

I didn't even realize that pattern, that's hilarious. I'm guessing he likes to play off of how much people hate his character.

This is fantastic. I hope it's true.

Tweet from Mic Foley...

Just saw @WWE Raw on DVR. Wow..didn't see that one coming. I can't even remember the last time I was so hooked on wrestling as a fan.

A WWE/ROH crossover would be cool, but I wonder what WWE would gain from this arrangement?

Snitsky claims the comments about Miz on Twitter were not tweets from him... says account was hacked...

Wait for it... Waaaaait for it...

"IT WASN'T MY FAULT!"

:awesome:

http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/art...nt-was-due-to-his-twitter-being-hacked-133101

HA! Well played.......

So either there's some ******* running around hacking wrestlers twitter and then posting insults about other wrestlers for the sole purpose of making whoever they hacked look like a jealous ******* or........these wrestlers say things they shouldn't and realize they have no way to take it back so they pull the ''hacked'' card.

Yep, it's the Sony hacker... he got bored and decided to hack wrestlers that most people probably forgot about twitter accounts.

What the WWE gets from a WWE/ROH arrangement is legitimacy for the angle. It makes it real. If Punk shows up in ROH with the belt, it makes it seem real, it furthers the storyline.
