The Hunger Games - Part 2

Its not the worse movie but its nowhere near any of Ross's films, in terms of quality. And he hasn't displayed good characterization from the films I've seen; at least not like Ross has and Catching Fire is even more character driven than Hunger Games. Honestly, I'm pretty concerned. Its a noticible step down. What happen to the Alfonso Cuaron rumors? Or Bennett Miller? Better choices imo

^there wish lists not really ever viable

bennet miller was never gonna happen since he shoots foxcatcher in december

and alfonso is got a long post production with gravity

Lol, Cuaron was never gonna happen with the schedule they're on.

The "wish list" was never going to happen. It was an attempt to try and play down the fact that Ross left because they are making bad artistic decision with the production for the sequel.

Cuaron is in post on Gravity. the movie comes out in november. there was 0% that he was doing the sequel.

Well it sucks that the wish list was just a ruse. I found the entire thing online and some of the names in there besides cauron and miller:
Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code)
Thomas Alfredson (Let the right one in, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy)
David Croenberg (The Fly, Eastern Promises)

makes the decision seem even worse in retrospect  ...oh well.

I just finished the first book, and it was amazing. I Loved it.

I'll give this movie a 8/10.

I totally enjoyed it, I like the survival element but I wish the tournament was longer but whatever! Can't wait for Catching Fire!

Is the sequel gonna be where she is forced to play the game again, that sounds horrible?

From what ive been told:

she's forced to play again...only this time, it'll be against past winners.

An 'All-Star' Hunger Games.

Yep it's punishment for her outsmarting them at the end of the Hunger Games since she is the only female winner in her district she would have to play.

Well seeing what movies dethroned The hunger games this weekend I have come to a conclusion that america has no taste. But most african american assemble movies ussually do well.

Have you seen the movie? People say its a lot better than what you would think it is. Besides this was inevitable. I won't say America is stupid because Dear John dethroned Avatar there are plenty of other reasons for that besides this one.

I would, Dear John was as poor as possum Pee Pee. I have no desire to see that movie or the lucky one. People also say tyler perry movies are better then you would expect. Zac Efron really needs to explore something other then love movies.

I agree that Efron has far more acting talent and he needs to fire his agent. However, Think Like a Man is not a Tyler Perry movie and its offers more than what you would expect from one.

The Hunger Games had a good drop this weekend and it's nearing 600mil worldwide. It's doing fine, who cares about staying at number one?

American is known for it's bad taste in films. :P At least the GA...
I tend to agree more with the Japanese view of films.

The whole world has bad taste in films. 2012 made boatloads of money overseas and it's a terrible film.

More like the GA loves all style and no substance.

Alice in Wonderland and 2012 are more of the most recent ones that blow my head and make me scratch it even harder.

or maybe the general public wants to be entertained in the cineam. maybe they watch slow complex movies at home .

The entire planet has bad taste in entertainment in some form or another. Let's not get our heads up our proverbial asses regarding what country has the worse taste in anything.

I wish the world had real Hunger Games. That would be an entertainment.
