This one was done a while ago and I personally think the removal of the noseguard and addition of the logo on the chest go a long way in improving the costume...

The uncovered look works here because he's looking downward. If he's looking straight on or if we're seeing his profile then it would clearly be Charlie Cox.

I think they should keep the noseguard, but they should also reshape it.

I definitely prefer that. It still has a nose guard but doesn't look like a beak, and he doesn't have that horrible pattern over his eyes. But is that from Affleck's mask? It looks like, or at least inspired by.

But definitely an improvement. Now just get rid of all the black bits.

That mask is very good and it certainly looks inspired by Affleck's Daredevil, whose costume I've mentioned before, I really like.

Also, I don't particularly mind the black bits around his neck and shoulders but the torso needs to be predominantly red. There could still be some black bits for styling or whatever but certainly predominantly red.

What we got instead seems more like a TV costume version, like something out of Smallville, than something worthy of the big screen.

Not bad, but I'd prefer the brows be a little less organic (though moreso than the overly geometric brow in the show).

I've always liked this prototype - and it's different enough from Affleck's to be its own thing.

Yes we're all aware of what nose guards do.

If I have to sacrifice some pointless nod to realism like that to make him look more like Daredevil then so be it. I appreciate added details that make the world more plausible but not when it's actively screwing up the characters look as it is here.

It's like Captain America's covered ears in The First Avenger and particularly in The Avengers, which made his head look like a *****. Is it more realistic to have his ears covered? Yes, but it just didn't look good or have the proper Cap look. Once he had them out in Winter Soldier, it was a huge improvement.

TBH, I didn't even notice the Captain America ear thing and am still wondering what you are talking about.

The problems with the Daredevil mask however are VERY noticeable.

I like it and this one as well.

I don't see why it couldn't work. It seems thicker than spandex or anything like that yet flexible enough so as to hug the body like a glove and allow freedom of movement. And it looks layered somewhat with the mask being no connected yet not like the unconnected BDSM Affleck suit & cowl. Imo, DD needs his neck covered.

I don't like it when the nose is fully covered, ala' Batman's cowl. Keeps looking like he ought'a start singing inka-dinka-doo or saying a-cha-cha-cha!

I still like the suit. I think it could be improved upon sure, but the design is recognizably Daredevil while still looking like something that would provide protection to a guy who is constantly being shot at and beaten on. I know people want him to wear some skintight bright red jumpsuit thing but I don't see how that would fit with the approach they've taken. And seriously, I hope people knock it off with the "bring back the black ninja suit" stuff. That wasn't a "ninja suit." He was running around in an Underarmor shirt, cargo pants and a bandana. It worked because he didn't have a costume yet. Now he does, and I don't ever need to see him go back to the Zorro look again.

I don't want the "ninja suit" either, as it looks pretty much like the Trial of the Incredible Hulk suit, which is ironic considering we've come all this way since then and they only come up with something that looks like that. But his general shape and physique looked better when he was wearing the underarmour shirt and had the bandana covering his face. He didn't look like DD. In fact, his head looked like Iron Fist but just in black. But the new suit does look rather too stiff and overly decorated and busy for my liking.

See....this works really well.
The nose part I mean.

It dosn't look right with the nose completely exposed but this looks really good.
I mean, that's how it should look anyway.

Make it more red.
Keep the design but use a thinner more form fitting material.

The design kicks ass.
It just needs to be executed a little differently to bring out it's full potential IMO

Agreed. Really I think the suit just needs to hug the body a little closer.

yep. That is exactly what I think. I really like the design but it was a little bit on the bulky/stiff side for my liking. I also do not like the fabric the red parts are made of.
The only thing that needs a total re-design is the cowl....it kinda sucks.

Here's what I would do with the costume:

-I'd still have his nose covered. Just make the guard look less bulky and distracting.

- I'd have his red eyes be an important visual component. They're striking, creepy, and increase his intimidation factor. I love how Marko Djurjevic and Alex Maleev handle them:

-I'd make the costume look less "Avengers". I totally get that Meinerding designed it so that it could look like it could stand next to the MCU heroes, but the truth is, the suit looked really out of place within the context of the world that the show created. If not less "Avengers", then less "uniformy". Make him look a little scarier. Like something you wouldn't want to see in an alley.

-Cowl must be changed. Going back to the scarier thing, I'd like something that looks less like a helmet but more "organic", with angered brows and stuff like that.

-DD logo is a must, of course.

-The more red, the better. The suit can still be broken up by the use of different textures and different shades of red. Black doesn't have to be a heavy element.

-Possibly a silicon neck. Something that's smaller and sleeker than the Batman cowl, but still allowing a wide amount of movement that Ben seems to have. I don't really dig the cloth on Daredevil's neck area. I think there's a better way to pull it off that would better resemble the look in the books.

-More form-fitting. I want to believe that it would be easy for him to pull off all the parkour stuff he did in the twelfth episode if he was in costume.

That's all I can think of right now.
