The new mask is way better, so I hope things like this will continue.

New mask is a huge improvement, though I wish they'd have his nose exposed.

Yeah, I really didn't understand their reasoning for that. Supposedly they initially designed it without the nose piece, but they said it was too obvious that it was Matt under the mask. While that's possible, we're talking about a genre where a pair of eyeglasses can conceal a superhero's identity. I think we could have suspended disbelief enough to buy that people wouldn't recognize Matt in the mask.

That said, I love the way the new mask looks.

Yes the creators explained it had to with Cox's pretty distinctive nose.

The lower half of his face does look pretty distinctive, if were including the schnoz.

The Avengers had a huge budget, and yet Cap's suit looks cheap as ****. The red DD suit looks miles better than that.

You may not like Cap's Avengers suit but the design is very intricate. It is not a cheap to make suit. To even get to the final product requires a great deal of investment.

Now look every production needs divide up it's budget. I honestly don't think for Daredevil, they spent divided up the budget the same way as Deadpool.

There's so much of the production you don't see. You may see the final cowl and go "it's so simple in design" but they could have spent weeks or months designing it.

Regardless of how much it cost the first Avengers costume looked like a halloween costume behind the scenes

The first and new DD costume is way better.

There is no "budget issue" affecting the DD suit.

Brightened up for yous dudes to see them sweet deets

Love that ol hornhead has legit horns on the mask. I liked the architectural looking ones in S1 but these are great

It really does look excellent. I'd maybe just hid the nose a bit more, similar to Batman, and I'm good. But even still, I love it.

You know the concept for his costume isn't that far off from The Avengers. In that you have that cloth cowl/neck area and a helmet of hardened material.

The concept art looked better than the execution in the first season but it looks like they figured it out.

any ideas when he gets the new cowl / suit?

i hope it's within the first 4-5 episodes

Truth be told, this cowl is actually not too far off from what I'd like to see them do with Batman's. I love how close it fits to Charlie's face.

Goddamn, I love it so much. When I was waiting in agony for season 1, wondering what the new suit could be, this mask is pretty close to what I fantasized about.

Key word is behind the scenes. As it looked great in action. Also DD's costume looks AMAZING!

It looked ok in action tbh.

Most people thought it was a downgrade from his look in First Avenger and the subsequent costumes he had especially in WS were much better as well.

This is from an in-film still not behind the scenes

Again meh.

The only thing wrong with the Avengers Cap suit is the cowl-sculpt. From the neck down it was fine. mmmmmmaybe it could have used darker tones like the recent suit.

The Avengers Cap suit with the current version of the helmet would look great.

I actually love the upper body/torso of the avengers cap suit.
Everything else looks pretty bad though.
If it had looked more like this concept art it would have been so much better.

Bits and pieces from his various looks put together(And executed a little better when it comes to the boots and gloves) would actually make my ideal live action cap suit.

It'll never happen since they seem to be getting further and further away from this, but I can dream can't I? :o

It instantly looks better with the duller colours.

I'd like to see something like the unaltered concept art, but with tiled/scaled armour on the upper torso. In fact I don't know why they haven't tried that yet.

Everytime i see that costume i don't really think Star Spangled Soldier, i think Ted Kord member of the JLI.

It looked fine without the helmet on. That was really what brought the costume down

Sure, a lot of stupid things happens in comics, but that doesn't mean that it works in this show. I totally understand that Cox is too recognizable with the nose showing, and that it becomes more noticeable when they switch to a stunt double. It is, for example, easier to recognize Affleck in his Daredevil suit than in his batsuit.
