I don't know I think the suit looks pretty good in this shot

The other promo images they've released haven't been great but I'm quite positive the suit fits Cox better now which will go a long way.
I cannot wait to see that scene

The first one looks amazing.

Yeah, I tend to prefer the material of the second one (although this is difficult to say for certain because I'm not sure what the material is for the first one), but the first one is so faithful except for the stupid ear things that I'd love to see that.

I would've been happy with something like that first one, minus the weird ears.

Man, it's just too bad we can't get that first one translated into the show. I feel like that's the best take on a new update on the Daredevil costume to make it more "realistic."

The black parts are more understated. It has the DD symbol. The cowl looks better. That last one is downright ugly

The first one looks kinda rubbery but other than that it looks awesome. I would love if the suit evolved to look more closer to that one.

That moment when they had the perfect design within their grasp and didn't use it. Dammit, it's just like the Ultron concept art. They had the perfect one in their concepts. But noooooooo, they had to be different.

I wonder what made them choose what they chose instead of the first concept.

It's like these other concepts of the Green Goblin in Spider-Man 1, where most of them looked better than what we actually got. It makes you wonder how they decided the power ranger suit was better than the other ones, and here too it makes you wonder why Marvel thought what we got was better than the all red suit.

I have no idea at all. Like there is literally not a single excuse for not using that. But hey, ya get what ya get and ya don't get upset I guess. :/

That red one is... Awful. Now I understand now why they mixed in black with the outfit because all that red looks so cheesy. That puny logo too? Awful.

Maybe because it'd look ridiculous in the show/the tone they set up for the series.

I think in this day and age for a show or movie like this, it's all about functionality and practicality. So if there is a vigilante with a costume and mask, everything has to serve a purpose. In the old days it was about secret identities, costumed heroics. But now when you make a show like this it has to be more grounded and realistic. As a result, a costume like this, every part about it has a to serve a purpose and it has to look real.

So he gets a new suit because he needs armor, but he needs lightweight and streamlined armor that won't hinder his speed or movement. That was never really all that important in the comics. In a live-action TV show with a different kind of audience, it needs an explanation.

Even in the show, they explain black panels and red panels. So there's a difference. However, the colors kind of clash with each other and you wish it was a more predominantly red look. No DD symbol either.

Josh Nizzi does damn good work. I like the black and red one more. Make the horns more noticeable, add the DD, and we are in business.

Suit looks so good in that shot. I sound like a massive hypocrite.

I don't understand how people say the red suit fits better than it did in Season 1. It looks identical to me. It's just not a costume than emphasizes the human physique as much as other superhero costumes.

It seems to fit the actor more comfortably. I like how it looks in that new promo, from that and the picture where the Punisher tied him up it appears that they've modified the costume just enough to take away the awkwardness that made me lukewarm on it from the beginning.

Just wait until we see another action scene with it. I think you'll all feel way different after that.

You think it'll look worse?
Maybe, depends on personal point of view. I think it'll look better in action when they touch it up in post with specific lighting, filter, and maybe a dash of smooth SFX.

The first one looks amazing.

I understand the impulse with the pointy-ear motif, but man... The pointy brows on the final mask are a bit much, but what a joke this would be.

They need to be ALL red, so the first one looks better because it's mostly red (among other reasons), but they should ditch all the black. And NO to those weird pointy ears.

I have a feeling that if you made the second one in real life it would get the same "too bulky/too busy" complaints the actual one gets. But it too is cool in its own way.

What they REALLY need to do is just make things simpler and more anatomically based. The first one goes a good way towards doing that. And the brighter red looks great too.

It looks good because all these promo shots and videos have a heavy reddish lighting (or colour graded to look as such) as well as a lot of shadows, so that the mind kind of tricks itself into thinking the might be mostly red.

The angled-out horns look weird too - they should just point forward like they usually do in the comics.

Ahh, the first picture looks amazing, it just needs a bigger "DD". Hopefully the suit in the show will evolve to that in season 2.
