Dug up the supposed rumors, via CBM, that Ant-Man would appear in IM3 post-credits. Turns out they came from The Playlist. Reading over them now, it sounds like BS

Chinese actor Andy Lau's (who recently dropped out) role is apparently a "very different version of Radioactive Man in the comics." And while he's expected to pop up in future MCU films, he may appear in the post-credits scene. And that will involve him coming face-to-face with a version of Ant-Man.

Edgar Wright will possibly be shooting Iron Man 3's post-credits scene essentially introducing Ant-Man. This may back of Wright stating he was hoping to shoot some of the movie this year.

Whether it's true or not, that was reported just two days before it was first revealed that Wright had filmed a test reel. Also, it's worth noting that the Dr.Wu actor alluded to a future appearance in a fourth Iron Man film. Or likely another MCU movie.

I won't say "really", but I would be mildly disappointed. I'd rather we get the Guardians scene. Ant-Man isn't coming out until 2015 and probably won't have a lot to do with A2. They should use the A2 after-credits scene to pimp it.

Long story short,DC fans think that MOS will outgross IM3 because of superman's popularity as a character and Nolan's involvment..DC fans are butthury because IM3 is the most anticipated summer film and MOS didn't even make the top 5..it's funny, you guys have to check it out and see how dillusional some DC fans are

They are calling The Avengers "overated, mediocre,overhyped" and saying Marvel needs 6 superheroes in one movie to make a billion dollar and Dc needs only one hero (Batman) to make a billion..

Honestly guys does anyone actually think MoS will gross more than IM3 at the box office..Coz I remeber last year DC fanboys/Nolanites saying TDKR will destroy The Avengers t the box office,déjà vu anyone?

Frankly, I don't think that MOS has a snowball's chance in hell of outgrossing IM3. The fact that MOS was so low on the survey was a little surprising, but when you consider that WB hasn't really done a great job of marketing it beyond the geeky confines of comic cons and fan sites it makes sense that the GA isn't excited about it yet.


Marvel, in contrast, has been doing an expert job of marketing Iron Man 3 and making sure that the public is very much aware of the movie's existence. There are some idiots on YouTube and other sites whining about Marvel supposedly releasing too many ads and trailers but the studio is only doing what needs to be done to promote the film. The same thing was said about The Avengers last year, yet we only saw a fraction of the action in the trailers and ads.

some source said a while back that there is gonna be 2 post credits scenes like avengers did...
so Thor 2 trailer, GoTG post credit, Ant Man Post Credit during IM3...

I doubt its the test footage. Marvels post-credit scenes usually tie in plot-wise to future movies. That test footage was shot just t see how Ant Mans powers will translate on screen.

If it is in fact IM3 that Wright shot scene for, maybe its an introduction/reference to Pym particles or maybe ultron seeing as no casting has been done for Ant Man yet

what exactly does one-shot mean?
something tells me its a showcase rather than a tie in to the universe

I like the theory that Hank is going to be in Avengers 2, while the Ant Man film will be about Scott, who steals Hank's equipment.

I think Hank Pym will show up in TA2 as a scientist working for SHIELD. Maybe he'll even help out in the final battle... then people will be like, "Hey, there's that cool shrinking(and/or growing?)guy that was in TA2! I'll definitely be watching his movie.", when it comes out a few months later.

Here is the thing, it looks like Ant-Man might be a one-off. Something that Edgar Wright convinced them he should do. If his story is that of Scott Lang, well I don't think they should start playing with it too much. Let the director tell their story.

I think Wright wanted to do Lang in the beginning, but I think that was an early script and now things have changed to Pym as the main character. We'll see, but things like this change in movies all of the time. I still remember when Shane Black was adamant about not having Mandarin in IM3.
