Iron Man 3 The IRON MAN 3 News & Speculation Thread - - - Part 12

I gotta say as a casual Iron Man fan I've avoided all spoilers and can only speculate from flipping through the children's books and the few Lego sets, so here's what I'm thinking.

- Mandarin is the main villian (no surprise there)
- Guy Pearce plays some shady businessman (like I said I avoided spoilers)
- Tony's beachside home gets destroyed
- Tony's manages to salvage one IM armor suit
- he walks along the snow in defeat and befriends a kid
- War Machine starts sporting red, white & blue colors
- Pepper gets her own armor suit
- Tony does more modifications to the IM suit and yadda yadda yadda saves the day at the end.

Again I'm just filling in the blanks with my own thoughts that the anticipation can't come any closer.

Is that from the film? Because he looks very much like Ben Kingsley and very little like Mandarin. It seems like a photo shoot kind of shot for magazines. Unless it happens months after the ending to explain why he looks so different. Also I'm pretty sure those are RDJ's glasses.

I hope it's the extended Mandarin/President Ellis scene I saw last night, good enough length-wise and doesn't give a lot away plot-wise either! Sets up Mandarin really well

Keep in mind, my mind is hazy. Rhodey in the beginning wears it -- but then a villain takes control of it. So, I'm pretty sure Rhodey is in the final fight and he will need War Machine. I could be wrong though.

Sorry for backtracking a bit, but I couldn't help but read the last few pages and agree with Ultimatehero that people here do often jump to conclusions. But I guess you can say the same for a lot of people outside of this little inner circle of users here. It's a human thing

So... I was at Barnes and Nobles and noticed they had a comic prologue for Iron Man 3. Has anyone picked that up? I skimmed through and saw War Machine meeting up with the Avengers at the schwarma shop.
