He's Anthony Edward Stark, super-genius, he builds super-weapons IN A CAVE, FROM A BOX OF SCRAPS, he masters new sciences overnight, he hacks the secrets of the most secretive organization in the world for fun, he is the goddamned Iron Man and controlling 40 armors at once isn't a challenge, it's Tuesday!

But my organs aren't in hand-to-hand combat with anything (that I'm aware of, anyway). They don't have to react to an enemy's movements.

Extremist is a programmable Super Soldier serum. It reprograms the brain to do what it needs it to do. Only Tony rewrote the program before he was injected. Instead of getting powers he reprogrammed Extremist to allow him to hide the under sheath of his armor in his bones and communicate directly with his armor. He's also able to control his Armors with vector fields and summon them to him at will. He can lo-Jack any commuter. His brain is capable of processing information like a super computer. Lastly he has a healing factor somewhat closer to Captain Americas.

but that's just it. you also don't have the Extrimis virus either... if the suits react as mere appendages to his thought.. why does he have to concentrate on them? he doesnt... they could easily tap into the brain's natural reaction as well as memory on how tony moves, pilots, and reacts in situations.

lol That the reason Tony had to take the Extremist. He was geting out performed by the Terrorist that took it and was all most killed him durning his battle.

This post, I like it.

Another!

I'm scared to think about what happens with the Toyline.

Nearly 40 different figures? Or they're all look alikes, so geeks can buy almost 40 of the same figure...............

How would his brain simultaneously control 40 armors while at the same time allowing him to fight Mandarin?
Like Total War games or Company of heroes where he could group armors but also have in them the ability to function without Stark's command. :yay:

Comic books.

I mean serious, you accept magic hammers and green rage monsters but balk at super multitasking?

i'd imagine most would look pretty dang similar to others. not enough to make figs out of

There's probably already been four crazy variants for Iron Man from the movie toys already :p .

it really wouldn't shock me either if some of the previous crazy variants were cameod as some of those armors in the movie either

lol just wat I thought, If a super computer like Jarvis can do it then Stark would have not trouble

He fought the Super Adaptoid in New Avengers with 40 different armours.

Can someone make up a new rumor we can talk about now? This 40 drones/iron man suits/cannon fodder CGI overkill extravaganza is getting old.

I can't wait to see Iron Man and Pepper Potts duke it out in their own suits, I can't believe Tony dies and Rescue replaces him.

I've heard that Superman may be joining the Avengers in the future. Brainiac has a Cameo in IM 3. There's a end credit scene where he steals some of Stark's new suit designs and give them to Zod later in the Man of Steal movie. I heard it from a random interweb source. :oldrazz:

I've heard that the Mandarin actually will have access to alien technology after all.

I never liked the idea of how the Extremis bad guy can so easily hand Iron Man's ass to him. The Extremis just takes the elements in the human body and rewrites them. It doesn't add any elements. It's an interesting idea of how basic elements could be recombined and create a deadlier species. But a human being, no matter if its basic elements are rewritten (and not added to) can suddenly dismantle Iron Man who has taken on beings such as the Hulk and Thanos.

I don't mind Tony getting beaten by a bad guy and then having to tweak his armor or technique to beat the bad guy. It makes sense. But for Tony to totally rewrite his body just to stop 1 guy is a giant leap in the pattern of what makes his character. It's having the character make a gigantic leap to get him to somewhere the writer, Warren Ellis, wanted him to be at the end of the storyline, ie a man that literally is part computer. I always felt this robbed Tony of what made him unique in the stable of superheroes. He's a normal guy (albeit with super resources) going toe-to-toe with highly-enhanced individuals.

We'll see how IM3 turns out, though. Despite my disliking Extremis as a device and my natural hatred for nano-technology in fiction (they're omnipotent in stories and can do whatever the story requires them to), I have faith in Shane Black. If Tony is using drones (potentially way too similar, even in reverse, to the end of IM2) to fight the bad guy(s), I would have preferred him to remote control his previous armors to fight Fin Fang Foom, while he himself is fighting Mandarin. Of course, it remains to be seen how IM3 unfolds.

isnt there supposed to be some sort of film festival tomorrow where some exclusive IM3 footage is to be shown?

I've heard that they'll go full out with the alcoholic story this time, but give it to Jarvis instead.

TONY: "Jarvis...full power to thrusters!"

JARVIS: "Nnno! You...always bossin' me 'round....you...jerk! *hic* ...I...I'm sorry, Tony...I didn't mean that. I love you, man!!"
