Look, it's skin tight, made of rubber, with a big codpiece and the underpants on the outside. It shows off the muscles and it screams S&M. It could definately work well in a pride parade.

Now, personally, I'm very open minded, and even if Batman was gay, but was still the cool brooding ass kicking guy we all know and love, I couldn't care less. He never gets laid anyway. But there are a lot of people in the US who flip out over the gay issue... especially men, and religious fanatics. Just look at the amount of press Dumbledore from Harry Potter got when it was revealed he was gay ... people practically burned the books and told their children not to read them anymore!

And it's Americans producing these movies, and mostly Americans buying the tickets (by gross.)

They already have a Gay Batman. His Called Midnighter and his Badass

I think the nylon fabric in the new version of the suit helps a lot; gives it a chain mail feel sorta.

While I do think the new suit is cool, I pretty much agree with you, dude. The new mobility is cool, but the new neck is weird looking. And the symbol on his chest was not done well.

Only foolish people who dislike comics would call Batman gay because he wears trunks and a skin-tight suit. The informed knows Batman is a golden age hero whose suit was drawn in the 30s to fit the superhero criteria.
