The Joker Thread - Part 1

I definitely think permawhtie is the way to go. Nicholson's permawhite take was 30+ years ago and we only got Leto's take for like what 5 minutes of screen time (I'm sure his take will fade away with time). The makeup is such a big staple of the Ledger and Phoenix takes that it'd feel weird to do it again, especially for the very next incarnation.

Permawhite is a bit fresher and puts distance between the Ledger/Phoenix

I'd rather have the painted on smile and/or lipstick too. I feel like a permanent smile might restrict the actor's range and in general looks a bit off. I'd rather see something like the Arkham games with their painted/lipstick smile if there has to be one, and leave the perma-smile as Nicholson's staple.

Permawhite. It shouldn't even be a question, the character is permawhite. Ledger is the exception.

An idea I've toyed with since Ledger is that the Joker is someone who suffers from vitiligo, whether that be as a result of the chemical bath or otherwise. He may use makeup to balance/cover up the inconsistency in his complexion.

You could have his trip into the ACE Chemicals pit turn his skin white or super pale with some areas still having some regular pigment (i.e. his ears or fingers), and have his hair turn into a weird dirty brown-ish color. From there he could use the makeup and lipstick to make up for it all, and dye his hair as well. As time progresses you could see some of it fade away.

Never mention that horrible sequel ever again.
It's definitely underwhelming. I think it also has to do with the first one being released during a time that I look back on fairly fondly. I can't really say the same nowadays for myself. The stakes didn't really feel very high this time around either, but I feel like that was because they were children.

Black Mask isn't really Joker-y anymore than any vaguely comedic villain is. He's a very, very specific character type.
He can actually be a sadistic bastard who is threat. We saw a little bit of that before the scenery chewing started back up again.Still don't see what is the point of having them in this movie. They made Victor a henchman to Roman and have Roman turn into Black at the end just to....well you know. There are other low rent baddie they could use and it would had been better. Especially with Cassandra Cain, just take her out and put in a random little girl and still the same movie. Like I keep saying if anyone enjoy the movie and like what they did with some of the characters that is fine. I'm not trying to convince or change anybody mind about anything. I'm all about peace and freedom of thought. Just sharing my personal view on the movie that's all :yay::pcg:

CLJ, Paul Bettany, and George Mackay (he KINDA looks like him) my choices at the moment. There was a really small rumor a while back that Macaulay Culkin was going to play Joker, but that thankfully went nowhere and quickly died down. I'd suggest Bill Skarsgard but that's obvious typecasting, and he could also play an interesting Carnage as well.

IT chapter One was pretty good but felt too much a like studio film but still good. Now IT chapter felt like the adults was acting like the kids and everything felt like a weird parody of the first film. Omfg IT final form had me shaking my head, they had made IT look like a nightmare creature like The Thing mixed with something straight from H.P Lovecraft. Now All Hallow Eve 2013,Terrifier(All Hallow Eve's spiritual sequel) and John Spider-Man Watt's Clown are all better in my opinion. The stakes are high and the death are unpredictable!

Honestly, It's final form wasn't one of my complaints.

A lot of Batman villains are just Joker with another name if written poorly. Riddler and Scarecrow are the biggest offenders of this.
Some actually are but they background and what they can do is what make them so different and special. Each Batman villain represent Bruce/Batman psyche(fear, chaos, strength, mind etc).

The final form wasn't bad I was just expecting a little more because the writer and director was saying how scary he was going to look. If they didn't say that I wouldn't had any problems with it at all.

I'm aware that some people want the chemicals to mess him up. Personally, I just want white skin, but maybe we could find some sort of middle ground. What if his eyes were damaged? Thinking of something like this:e49b316f39fef527e774e794e48d0ca7.jpg

Damn I'm drooling!! This a Joker you don't feel for because he is in the news poisoning a bus of school kids or killing a random old couple in their bed(the second one is from the Joker comicbook )

"Don't ever apologize to no one for the way you look."

Honestly, I want the only chemical damage to be around his eyes like his sclera or something like that.

Alright you read it too:up::up::up:! That's a Joker want to see on the big screen!:hoboj::joker:..PS what The Joker did to Johnny GF after saving her from the Two-Face still bothered me! It was so cold and I felt so sorry for Johnny, you can tell he was scared to do anything and his GF face afterwards!:csad::nrv:

I wouldn't mind seeing Joker origins in a short flashback in the future movies. I want to see him wearing the classic redhood mask and after acidbath for him to look like this!
