This guy don't know who Rupert Grint is?

You ever hear of Hypertime my good man?Leto was really good in Dallas Buyers Club and Requiem For A Dream. And fit his character in Blade Runner 2049. He just doesn’t know what to do with Joker, his ideas were awful. Not to mention piss poor costume design, writing & direction.
Gotham is garbage. Every second that I saw of it.
Leave Margot/Harley in the Birds of Prey/Suicide Squad universe where she can thrive.
Of course I’d love to see Joaquin and Rob. But I don’t like this “light continuity” idea. The general audience won’t care but I find it lazy. There needs to be universe logic or it takes me out of a movie. Sorry. Not gonna cut it for me. A good screenwriter can’t be good at what they do if they can fix it in a heartbeat. Unless the timeline adds up. Either...
A) The Batman is set in the late 90’s and there’s a few lines about Bruce’s parents being killed in the 80’s Joker riots. There’s been a change in the architecture (this sounds ridiculous even reading it back to myself). But it’s kinda confirmed to be set in 2021-ish. OR..
There is no “letter B” because the alternative is Arthur Fleck is 70 years old and Batman is 30 in a current time frame. That’s dumb, you may as well recast and rewire Joker so an actor who is Rob’s age can play the part.
I’ll only entertain one more thing: if Rorschach or somebody else can convince me on a way to make Arthur be the Joker but it’s all a b.s story that he’s telling in the final scene of Todd’s film (inside Arkham). What if a Joker 2 is set in the 2020’s and he’s the same age, he escapes Arkham and legit thinks it’s the 80’s. It’s all a delusion and his mind plays tricks on him? I’m throwing hail mary’s here to justify this. Help me out guys.
Hmmm. I feel ya. I have a hard time seeing him do it, but I wouldn't be against it either. And like you said, there are definitely some great actors who'd love a go at it, I'm sure.
I think it's almost undeniable Pattinson and Phoenix would play extremely well off each other.
I would say it is a complete lack of imagination to just shoe horn them together like that.So many of you lack imagination. It is completely still possible for Robbie, Pattinson, and Phoenix to appear in the same film.
like Eddie Dean said: “light continuity baby!”

I love this guy. He's like a cocktail of Heath Ledger, Willem Dafoe, Brad Dourif, and Paul Bettany.
And Ledger never played menacing/psychotic but Nolan saw other things in him and knew he could play it if given the chance. Ari Aster only saw Florence Pugh in Lady Macbeth and was floored, offered her the part of Dani in Midsommar because he was interested in seeing her play a fragile person instead of a cold girl in control of her emotions.CLJ got the crazy, but I don't think he has the menacing. He always comes off as a little twerp.
Don’t be ridiculous. He’s young, a good actor, fits the part, Pattinson loves his work and I’m sure Reeves could be interested. Can you stop pushing for this guy, it's not going to happen.
When did Pattinson say he loves his work?Don’t be ridiculous. He’s young, a good actor, fits the part, Pattinson loves his work and I’m sure Reeves could be interested.
Your obsession with dirty fingers has me confused lol. And Arthur might be in his mid 30’s in the movie. The final scene could also be a jump in time. So if it was set in the 90’s, he’d be early 50’s. But It’s most likely set in the 2020’s.Joker is an enormous role to fill.. look at Leto, he was laughed out of town. Any actor that takes on the role, if it wasn't Phoenix better have thick skin and be damn good.
They would be amazing. I would totally save Joker for the third movie, but, have him feature ins one way in the second... like a cliff hanger of sorts, he's in jail... Arkham - been there for decades - Gotham still whispers his name, Bruce knows it, hears it.. memories of that night... his memories are scorned with the taste of his cigarette stained thumbs.. the main that tore the city apart and then took his parents.
I would say it is a complete lack of imagination to just shoe horn them together like that.
I've said it before - Fleck is in jail for life almost, he's mid 40s in the movie, that means he's released around 65 - Willem Dafoe is that age now, if he were to play Joker, a lot of people would be happy... so I see it as this..
It's the same universe - Bruce has to leave town, he's tormented - he can't let go.. his parents killer came to his house, he spoke to him, tasted his dirty fingers in his mouth. The city loves Fleck for a while, an infamous celebrity - he has to get away and work on his ptsd.
Bruce comes back with a vow for this to never happen again and to change the city.. he handles mob bosses, cat bunglers, terrorists... but the big bad, the man that created this all, is out and ready to play.
So things to iron out - is Reeve's batman set in 90's - seems that way. Was Alfred mentioned by name in Joker? He wasn't - the guy Arthur grabbed could have been anyone.
As long as Reeves doesn't cast a new Thomas Wayne, there ya go - Fleck gets out late 90's and you have your match up. Phoenix can age up easily... 45 - 65 really isn't that too far a stretch plus it won't be filmed for a while. I like the idea.
Esp if they do a Joker sequel and we see a young Pattison on the tv/magazine as Bruce.
Then Ledger shouldn’t have played Joker because he never played a psychopath before? How are actors supposed to evolve if you think they should be typecast forever? That's a bit of a silly argument. Might as well say Tim Allen should play The Joker because he has never shown his serious dramatic chops before.
Plus CLJ is definitely coming along with the Hobo Joker look I'd like to get away from.
