He still looks more like Mad Hatter to me.

Melling hmm. I agree that he looks more like Mad Hatter. Can he do an American accent? Reeves may have him in mind for Joker’s casting, since he’s certainly aware of his talent. Matt references Lost City Of Z when talking about Pattinson so Melling could cross his mind eventually.
Interestingly enough, the more I look at Melling's face, the more I see a bit of a resemblance to Brian Bolland's Joker in there.

Personally I don't see Mad Hatter there at all. Kudos to @Astro13Zombie for throwing an exciting new face into this tired old mix of names.Just from that clip alone, the way he moves, his eyes...i’m getting Joker vibes.Yeah, Melling can do an American accent. Or at least, he does a Southern accent in The Devil All The Time.
At least a lot of them actually seem good though. Many of these choices are just as crazy as Joker himself.
I kinda like him better for Carnage anyways, but I get what you're saying nonetheless.I haven’t seen Goggins shake his accent. And he’s becoming type cast as the villain so I think it would be a lazy choice at this point.
I feel like it's because it clashes with his whole "style" in a bad way. Hamill, Baker, and Epcar all have that very "full-of-himself" faux-british accent. Even DiMaggio kinda toyed with that. Why can’t Joker have a southern accent?
