I'd like for him to have animated mannerisms. Using his hands a lot, very loose posture, expressive eyes, etc.

At this point I'm unsure of exactly what I'd like from the joker in the Reeves trilogy. I feel like there's so many interpretations at this point that I'm more inclined to just see what happens than build up something in my head. All I ask is that he's not like Letos Joker lol

Yeah, there's a number of potential directions I could see Reeves taking with Joker that would make sense from the world and iterations of other Bat-characters we've seen so far.

Lately I've personally been leaning more towards a TDKR-type Joker that's a bit quieter and still, while also being incredibly frightening and dangerous as a mass murderer, but that doesn't mean that's what Reeves needs to do either.

I was thinking less of the "slithery" hand movements and something goofier, like suddenly having them spread out. I keep thinking of Kramer lol

Yeah there's numerous possibilities. I just couldn't begin to guess what Reeves will go for with the Joker. Im sure he'd be different than other iterations but so long as he maintains the qualities of the character that are important, anything is on the table.

I could see Reeves using some horror esque elements for Joker. Maybe a mix of freddy krueger in terms of the terrifying things he does to get a reaction. They could go all in on him being a demon esque figure, not in a literal sense, but more in the way he walks or appears.

I think that was just annoying because Leto did it in this really affected, self-conscious kind of way.

You mean like it seemed like he was acting rather than becoming the character? I get that, which is why I feel like my version of those kind of mannerisms would just be part of his character if that makes sense.

Leto's voice felt like that too. Like he was self-consciously being weird.

Would anyone besides Andy (haha) be a little upset if Joker doesn't even show up in this presumed trilogy? Or isn't the main villain in any? And by that I mean Joker is there to just mess with Batman's psyche as he deals with some other villain that's harming innocents.

I know Joker is a cash cow and will likely be used, but just a thought.

I don’t need him to be the main villain in any story. He’s gotta be in the trilogy though. I’d be upset if we got 3 movies and a few spin offs on HBO....and no Joker? Yeah that would suck. I come across so many comments about how they’ll hate it if Joker is in this trilogy. I understand fatigue but I find those comments ridiculous. He’s Batman’s greatest rival!! Come ahhhhhn.

Personally, I just don't want to see some uninspired 'Hannibal Lecter helping Clarice' rip-off. That is so lame and predictable at this point.

Same difference tbh. The whole thing is just too well-mined at this point. It's pretty much a cliche.

I wouldn't mind not seeing Joker in this, but I think that's almost an impossibility. It's like doing a Van Helsing movie without Dracula.
