Justice League The Joss Whedon Thread

People will probably attribute any witty banter to Whedon and dark angsty stuff to Snyder. But it will probably only take a week or two after the release for there to be an article on which scenes are Whedon's.

What about Ezra? The set report from last year did say he was doing some ad libbing.

Ezra is a factor, its hard to bring him in anywhere and not get witty statements.

I prefer Zack Snyder over Joss Whedon.

Zack Snyder is really Underrated.

Imagine if the CC teaser was never released and was released now. There are a lot of funny moments there...and that was like 2 months into shooting. Its just an incredibly simplistic and wrong viewpoint.

About the suits, and I'm just happy we have both. They are both great suits, and have their strengths.

I hope Joss' contributions are substantial. I was so happy to see that Elfman had replaced Junkie... I enjoy every single Batman movie score. From the '66 movie, to the Burton movies, the Schumacher movies, and then the Nolan movies. But the BvS score was not good.

Glad to see Joss shaking things up.

I have enjoyed the DCEU thus far, but I do feel like Snyder wasn't the best choice to steer the ship. The DCEU is not ideal, and a large part of that is due to Snyder's vision. I appreciate him making these movies a reality, and I appreciate a lot of what he's been going for in these movies, but I can't wait to see what Whedon brings to the table.

I love Snyder, but for real, let's just all be happy they're collaborating. All the great television series have multiple directors working on different episodes, but they have a singular vision, and it makes it better. This will be Snyder's vision with Whedon's input and personal touches. Can't go wrong with that. It's going to make the end product better, but it's not like Whedon's coming in to save the movie or anything. It's going to be good.

Yass love how Joss writes Wonder Woman, so right yo :ilv::ilv::ilv:

There was also a script by Laeta Kalogridis that floated around many years ago.

I'm getting more and more from twitter. Oh boy.

I read most of it yesterday and I would have laughed if it wasn't so horrifying that this guy is in charge of Batgirl

I started reading the script myself and I'm only in the beginning and it seems ok so far, but I've read some excerpts and it sounds like he wrote Steve Trevor sexist as f***.

It was entertaining that's for sure. But I think Jenkin's movie is vastly superior.
You can read it if you want:

I like to read these unfilmed scripts. :)

Cool will check it out. I've read a fair few myself and most of the the time you can see why they abandoned them haha

One of the best ones was Cary Bates Superman Reborn script that would have been an awesome film.

Yeah let's judge Whedon on an aborted WW movie script instead of his numerous shows and the two fantastic Avengers movies.

Joss is by far the most qualified guy for Justice League, and him on Batgirl is a perfect match. He's always had a knack for writing female heroes. Batgirl is going to be one of the standout entries in the DCEU with Whedon's involvement.

I'm so much more excited about Justice League after learning about Whedon's involvement.

I want Snyder to tackle more projects in the DCEU. But Whedon should take over for Justice League 2. He's more than qualified. Whedon + Snyder is the perfect combo, because with Snyder's involvement you know that Whedon won't go full Whedon. A Justice League movie requires slightly less levity than an Avengers movie.

I think the perfect team for Justice League 2 would be Geoff Johns and Joss Whedon writing the script with Snyder as a consultant.

Probably for the best. There was bound to be some awkwardness and uncomfortable questions if he went.
