Trust me, Christian Bale wasnt ANYONES idea Bruce Wayne based on looks.

He wasn't? Don't get me wrong, Bale's acting was what was really the deciding factor, but I also recall watching American Psycho and especially Equilibrium and also thinking he looked like an ideal Bruce Wayne. Not exactly like the comic book version, but close enough.

Superman/Clark Kent - Henry Cavill.
Batman/Bruce Wayne - Eion Bailey.
Wonder Woman/Diana - Olga Kurylenko.
Flash/Barry Allen - Charlie Hunnan.
Green Lantern Hal Jordan - Ryan Reynolds.
Lois Lane - Amy Adams.
Alfred Pennyworth - Jim Broadbent.
Amanda Waller - Angela Bassett.
Slade Wilson - Stephen Lang.
Maxwell Lord - Michael Fassbender.

the guy is a master at hyperbole. he's the pr rep of the noosphere apparently.

McKenzie is best fit for television. The guy has almost no charisma.

Neither does Barry Allen.

Yep. TV is where all the crappy actors go. Like Bryan Cranston, Ron Perlman, Timothy Olyphant, Jon Hamm, Jeff Daniels, etc.

Not sure if serious. :o

Way to misconstrue my statement there.

Neither does Barry Allen.

If that's how you interpret the character. *shrugs*

At least he's not as dull as John Stewart.

Of course I wasn't serious. What you said just reminded me of people who use 't.v. actor' as an insult. Not you, obviously. :yay:

No-one is dull as John Stewart. Guy, Kyle, Kilowog, Tomar-Re, Arisia, Ch'p, Katma Tui, Salaak and even G'Nort should be considered above him if they ever replace Hal. :woot:

Naw, there's alot of talented actors working in TV. I wouldn't dare to use that insult.

Damn right my man! I would prefer all of them before considering John Stewart. :hehe:

I find that a lot of casting choices in this thread are uninspired. If this film ever hopes to compete in 2015 then we need actors that will really "click" and not just actors that sorta look like the characters. In my experience of observing the reaction of CBM casting choices on the net, it's usually the ones that are most questionable that end up being the most memorable, whether good or bad.

That's why I jumped on the bandwagon of Abbie Cornish for Wonder Woman. She might not immediately look like WW, but she just feels right and I can already imagine the praise people would shower her with after seeing her performance. Perfect choice imo.

Sometimes actors who look the part could also give praise worthy performances, for example Anne Hathaway was a fan favorite to play Catwoman and she did well, same for Christian Bale for Batman, before Batman Begins he was a fan favorite for Batman and he was good in that role too.

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker is another similar example and I hope that Henry Cavill will be a good Superman, not just because he looks right for the part but he can act as well.

So, having the right looks should not be a problem as looks alone do not say anything about their acting abilities or lack thereof.

some of these batman choices are a bit too young and soft looking for my tastes

compare them to cavill and they look like boys

Luke Evans has the right combination of age, looks and acting talent for Batman.

I'm still set on Edgar for Batman.

He went toe-to-toe with Michael Shannon for Zod.

That's the true reason why I want The Fass. He looks young enough to play the character for a long time, but old enough to be a seasoned Batman with a sidekick....or four.

Tyler Hoechlin or Luke Evans doesn't command as much respect as The Fass.

I don't see it. At all. Not to mention I don't find Luke Evans that good of an actor.

Since when was Anne Hathaway ever a fan favorite for Catwoman? Garfield wasn't a fan favorite either, he just made sense to people after he was cast. I'll give you Henry Cavill, but that's a situation where he was the clear choice, just like Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins or Hugo Weaving as Red Skull.

Anyway, all I'm saying is that a lot of these casting choices are so boring and typical.

Sometimes the obvious choice is the right choice and that's why its obvious lol. The best example of that is Prof X.

Anyway just so people dont think I put my cast solely on looks, if I did that, the cast would be Malambri as Superman, not sure on Bats, Berenice marlohe as Diana, etc
