I mean, honestly... get Refn for Flash and see if Gosling reconsiders. The worse that can happen is that he doesn't bite. Then we could always say he was never in the running anyway! LOL

Which is why IM was played by a washed-up ex-junkie and Thor by some nobody. Actors that are on the cusp of A-list like Gosling don't need to play second tier superheroes.

:whatever:

you're acting as if these aren't the sort of films that elevate these sort of actors into a-list status.

dude Michael Caine, a legendary actor played a second tier character and he loved it, in fact he wants to do it again, so did Morgan Freeman, Sam Jackson, Edwart Norton, ScarJo, Kevin Spacey etc. ! and Ryan Gosling ? if he is a comic book fan he will love to do it, and if he is not he can see it as an opportunity to become even more famous. Its also a great way to test your diversity as an actor, and not be a snob who acts in art house films.

richard madden is another guy I'd like to see more of. he gives me a bruce wayne vibe.

he's talked about turning some of those roles down because he doesn't believe in his ability to act against a green screen, but as i said, things change. this isn't barely satisfactory jason statham talking **** about comic book movie roles.

Gosling's career doesn't need the help, though. If he wants a comic book franchise he can easily play Batman. No need to settle for being the Flash.

He could not easily play Batman, at least nothing I've seen of him would make me think so. I don't want him as any hero in the Justice League. If he were to have a role, I'd give him Steve Trevor's if he has one, because his pal Refn wants to direct a Wonder Woman flick.

The more I tink about it, I'm almost certain we will get the DCnU line up for the JL movie.

Blue Beetle is a second tier character. The Flash is not. Ron Troupe is a second tier character. Alfred is not.

Re: Gosling turning down superhero roles...

Things change. Heath Ledger at one point said he'd never act in a comic book movie as well...

Ledger never said that. He said he wasn't a fan of comic movies, not that he'd never act in one. :whatever:
Here's his quote
"I actually hate comic book movies, like f---ing hate them. They bore me and they're just dumb."

Gosling has stated numerous times he's not interested in doing comic movies, at the very least superhero movies.

gosling's feelings don't appear to be as strong as ledger if that's what heath said. i remember hearing he was actually offered the role of batman and turned it down.

To be honest I wouldn't want Gosling anyway for any role. I find it hard to get behind the guy in most of his roles. I don't think he has that every man quality about him that most actors who play superheroes need.

batman is the last hero in the dc universe who needs a big star to play him. batman sells batman. you'd actually need a star for a guy like the flash. its not the other way around.

What do you guys think about these options. i put alot of thought into it. So if you think someone doesnt look the part and you explaing why i pronmise it wont hurt my feelings :)

In terms of looking the parts, most of them would be serviceable. It's their acting ability, or rather, lack thereof that bothers me (excluding Henry). I haven't seen any amazing displays of talent, or even just good ones from most of them, and others I don't even recognise, so I would not be happy if that were to be revealed as the actual cast.

flash is not second tier flash is a hero name the general audience actually knows

he is more of a popular name than aqua-man or green lantern

The actor playing aquaman is Nikolaj Coater Waldau he plays Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones. Very fine actor. maybe the best on the show. Batman is Ian Somerhalder hes from Vampire Diaries not sure of his acting ability but he sure does look the part. Green Lantern is Shawn Roberts so far i know he played Weske in resident Evil. Cyborg is Derek Luke or Antoine Fischer :) He came to mind after watching seeking a friend for theend of the world. WW is Teresa Palmer from I am Number 4 take me home tonight and sorcerers apprentice. Flash is Alan Ritchman (Aquaman) from Smallville he is in the upcoming Hunger games movie so possibly could be like another Hemsworth?

Yes to Nikolaj who has been my long term Aquaman pick anyway... Apart from that, I'd veer more towards a NO.

And Flash has always been more famous than either Thor or Iron Man anyway! Compared to them, he's definitely A-List!

Well Lauren Cohan is too fat faced to play WW. Her face lacks structure and even in her most intense scenes in walking dead she comes of like the GF you tell to shut up before she gets her butt whooped by a real woman. And sure Karl Urban could play batman but hes 40 and looking older every year. I just rewatched Green lantern and no it wasnt just a bad script RR looked like someone had just farted after every line he delivered. like he is amused by everthing hr says. i admit i never read the GL comics ... is Hal an arrogant cocky jerk in the comic. and jake gyllenhall is a step up from Tobey maquire in superhero looks he does not the screen presence of putting on a garnet costume and it not looking like its spoofing a real superhero movie. In my opinion ........... NO!!
