Ryan Phillipe's voice as Flash would be terrible lol.

I'm all for Anson as Bats, but do agree his mouth area is weird without the beard lol. He has Reeve lips and are very thin, but that might work with the Cowl on lol.

Yes, Atwell is a contender now:woot: The screen test for WW wil be a long one IMO. There is just so much to look for and even if you go against the Amazonian look, there are still qualities that can represent WW.

Ryan Phillipe's voice would be terrible for Flash? How is the Flash supposed to sound? I could see why someone might think his voice wouldn't work for a character like Batman, but for Flash, I don't think the voice is all that important.

As for Anson, yeah, he does look older in some shots, but I think if he cut his hair short (and dyed the graying areas) it wouldn't be so noticeable.

someone mentioned javier bardem as vandal savage, i love that.

but anson mount looks more like superman than batman without the beard imo.

Well, to be honest, Superman and Batman have looked like twins in the comics for the past 70 years.

The more I think about it, I really don't think Mount could do either. Well, maybe Kingdom Come Batman...

If Anson died his hair and possibly left some grey that would work for me. He does have the Batman look though, and I agree that Bats and Supes have pretty much looked alike in the comics and cartoons for awhile.

Anywho, Flash should sound more like idk, Neil Patrick Harris, Justin Timerblake, or Rosenbaum IMO. Phillipe sounds like he stepped off the jersey shore lol.

I guess it wouldn't be a big deal, I just think Phillipe would be wrong for the part IMO.

Not as wrong as Timberlake, IMO. Timberlake is terrible in action hero roles. Did you see In Time? Sheesh.

I actually thought In Time was a good movie and showed that Timberlake could do action. lol.

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree on that one, haha.

I dunno... I liked 'In Time' as well!

Though I'd like to believe Ryan Phillipe would be more suitable Flash candidate at this point than Justin Timberlake.

And it's not even that I think Timberlake's bad... in fact, over the past couple of years, he has genuinely impressed me. But I just like to file him and Aaron Paul under "don't quite look the character"!

Timberlake has the same issues as skinny female action stars. They don't look like they can throw a punch convincingly. Add on the fact he's a bad actor.

With that said, I did enjoy In Time for what it was, but it's not a good support for Timberlake. He can stick to SNL skits when he wants to "act."

:applaud

Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Timberlake just annoys me whenever he shows up in movies, because it's as if I can hear some studio exec saying, "Well, we COULD give this role to a real actor, but teenage girls love Timberlake so give him the part!"

Aside from The Social Network, I've never been impressed with his work.

i hate his voice in regular roles, for a superhero role? sheesh.

while true, don't you think their should be some difference between them?

Of course, but Cavill and Mount don't really look that much alike.

What about Ashton Kutcher in a role?

AOL voice: "Goodbye!" lol

Seriously though, Kutcher needs to do a more serious role, before he jumps into JL IMO, and this film should not be his launching pad.

I get what you guys are saying about Timberlake, I just think he would be better than Phillipe. I would prefer someone that gives off that hipster, crooner type of personality. Yeah, that isn't necessarily how Barry or Wally were portrayed in the comics, but I think it would be a different sort of character and personality to add to the mix. Bruce=dark, strong, quiet billionaire; Clark=boyscout, sometimes questions himself, do gooder, positve persona; Hal=cocky, headstrong, sure of himself personality; Arthur= brave, sometimes arrogant, aristocratic if older; Diana= A personality, curious, strong willed, quick to prove herself; J'onn=Wise, thoughtful, and gentle.

So to have a more "cool" type of persona for the Flash would be ideal for me in balancing out the personalities. I don't see that in Phillipe. Not to say he can't do it, but why not just get an actor that it seems to come easier to IMO, at least on screen.

Rowsdower!, Hans Matheson for Batman is such an interesting choice. Too bad it doesn't seem like he's doing much acting anymore.

Thanks, yeah I think he would be an inspired choice. But like you said, he unfortunately hasn't been in much lately. It's a shame really; he shows up in bit parts a lot for whatever reason (Clash of the Titans, Sherlock Holmes) but I he's got the chops to be a lead hero or villain, like he's done in the past.

He was also in The Tudors. It would be funny if two alums of that show went on to play the two biggest superheroes.

Yeah, he was good in that too (even though I hated his character). That show was strange in that so many actors would just disappear from it after a season because of the way they sped through history.
