Is it just because he was in Immortals with Cavill and has dark hair? What is so great about Luke Evans as Batman? I don't think he is right for the part. Doesn't have the commanding quality Bruce needs that every Batman actor has had, including Kilmer & Clooney.

Im pretty positive that's the only reason. Luke Evans is not leading man material at all. I don't even remember if he can pull off an American accent.

Well it's not my only reason, though I don't think I would even count costarring with Cavill as a real reason. I just find him to be a charismatic actor who looks like he can pull of Batman's brooding look. He was one of the few things I liked about that The Raven movie, and he was pure Batman in his first scene of The Three Musketeers(withstanding the movie's issues).

Like I've said with all of my choices for all the characters, is he the perfect choice? No, because that doesn't exist; but is he a good possibility? Most definitely.

Also, regarding leading man material, I'm viewing this as a team movie ala Avengers as is WB most likely.

I don't get why people want him. I don't see it at all. Like, not even a little. He doesn't have it, IMO.

1) Good actor, who is about to enter his "big break"; will appear in Fast 6, The Hobbit: DOS and TABA, BBC miniseries, Dracula reboot. But still likely to sign to a franchise.

2) Can pull off the darker, contemplative aspect of Bruce Wayne:

3) The man just screams the "eccentric billionaire playboy" aspect of Bruce Wayne:

4) Immortals showed he can handle a fight scene (to some extent).

5) As for leading man material, as much as I love Cavill his best performance was in The Tudors, even that did not blow me away. No film he has been in has displayed him as "leading man material". There must be a reason he lost out on so many other projects.

Here's an idea. How about Joe Mag as Batman. But CGI for the face below the cowl. That way nothing is ruined for the reboot. You can still reboot Bruce Wayne later ... maybe older or younger. After seeing the Hobbit CGI has come along way and i dont think you could really tell the difference.

There's no reason to cgi the face below the cowl. It's honestly a stupid idea that would cost money that could be used elsewhere.

He wouldn't star in a film to have his face CGI'd out so people think he is someone else, and then kicked to the curb immediately. It's kind of the opposite of what an already relatively successful actor wants.

Ill say this Majik, Llama...ill give Evans a chance with his upcoming movies. He's a possibility sure. As of now ill say no but maybe it will change if he proves me wrong.

Ok so maybe it doesnt have to be him. But his body type for the suit. I think its a phenomenal idea because honestly no one we've picked looks like the ideal bruce wayne from the comics. No one. The closest is Armie Hammer and everyone hates him apparently.

Because Armie Hammer looks nothing like Bruce.

He looks nothing like Superman either. Good thing we dodged that bullet.:o

As for body type, all actors can work out to get buff; they will never have the same exact body type as in the comics, which is fine. As long as they look like they can take on villains, that's all that matters.

Armie Hammer looks nothing like Bruce Wayne, he suffers from the same thing Dicaprio does. They're eternally youthful looking, Hammer still has some fat in his cheeks and as such very boyish in the face.

And Luke Evans looks too villainous looking for Batman. Never been keen on him.

Bruce is bland. Hes a businessman. What do the execs at your job look like. If a good director could drive some emotion from him when hes in the cowl how could he not (besides height) be a leading option?

Ill take Evans for Bruce over Armie any friggin day of the week. Mr. Babyface Baffoon.

Some people used to want Wes Bentley for Batman. Now there is a man far too villainous looking for a hero.

He looks nothing like Bruce there LOL.
Exactly. NOTHING like Bruce Wayne or Batman. Doesn't even look like Robin trying to be Batman.
Hammer is just too bland, I'm sorry.
And untalented.
Sexy, but no thanks.

He's still got my support as well. :o:up:

That's another problem. You don't want somebody who looks too dark, it makes me as a fan go "This guy looks like a nutjob for a playboy billionaire, I would suspect him right away". You need a balance. Someone dark enough to pull off the real private Bruce and do well in the cowl, but someone who looks normal/goofy and playboyish for the women so you're like "Are you kidding me!? Bruce Wayne?? He's a billionaire doofus, look at him!". You have to look it for 3 characters pretty much. Bale had that down.

Evans is maaaaybe too much on the brooding Bruce side of things. "Bruce Wayne is Batman? **** now that u mention it, he does have a creepy look to him". Hence why he's playing Dracula!

I know it's an unpopular Batman choice cuz of his voice (still think he can fix it) and he's most our picks for Flash. But Gosling would work here. Because he's got the brooding, quiet Wayne down pat (Drive, Only God Forgives). The billionaire playboy who looks harmless, goofy. Dye that hair and ur set. Maybe the voice is a good throw-off. He's nothing but quiet in the suit. The Drive approach. Imagine him at a party, chatting away, acting dumb with women around him (think Crazy, Stupid, Love) then after the party he's back in the cave with Alfred around him and you get almost ZERO talking out of this guy like Driver when he's with Cranston's character. It would be such a great dynamic of extremes. And a fresh reaction to Bale.
