He has good pulling power when it comes to the GA with his huge fanbase and im sure if given a good script he has the ability to play a more grounded character if needed.

I actually wouldn't mind Rock. He'd be fun to see as John Stewart though I still want him as Black Adam!

I mentioned him before though how about Aldis Hodge? I want a bigger name like Elba but that's going to be difficult!

No to Hodge as Stewart, but he's perfect for Black Panther.

And the Rock does not fit Stewart's character at all.

Wow, Wonder Twin powers activate. But yeah, that was a problem with Retaliation that I endured because G.I. Joe is not something I'm well-versed in, and they at least tried to get the fact that he was black by showing his daughters. And even then, I didn't really buy it. But with Stewart, there can be no room for improvisation when it comes to skin color. Sorry, but I want an actor who actually looks like John Stewart.

Plus, GI Joe had already changed the races of the characters in the first movie. Wasn't a huge shocker in this one. Marlon Wayans as Ripcord, anyone?

There are changes that work there are changes that don't. Ripcord was obviously the latter. Though the change of Roadblock was taken in a positive sense by one and all.

Remember Nick Fury?

John Stewart's skin color is an unnecessary change, and I'm personally quite confident that WB will cast accordingly. Of course, that's if they choose to use Stewart as GL.

I dont think WB do care. After all, Reynolds was already both Hannibal King and Deadpool when they cast him as GL.

You should see the role he played in the film, "Faster". He was badass and serious.
