The more pictures I see of Richard Madden, the more i know i definitely don't want to see him as Batman.

Right now if Bale's not coming back I'm leaning towards a self contained JL with Joe Manganiello as Batman and Armie Hammer as Superman!

i like both of those guys in those respective roles, but I'm not on board with 2 separate supes.

self contained is not a good idea. you guys talk about people being confused. what'll the "general audience" say when there's 2 supermen?! their feeble minds would never comprehend such a travesty. plus it throws the idea of a shared universe via multiple movies out the door...unless they introduce "crisis".

Still hoping they let Nolan breathe a bit for a couple of years and we end up seeing this Bale/Cavill cross-over happen. It's wishful thinking now, but I cant think of anybody at the moment who interests me enough to play Batman. And by the time a new Batman appears...well I cant think of that right now, it's too far down the road. Just don't feel any excitement.

Bale is booked for a couple of projects that will be pretty physical over the next couple of years, Nolan and Goyer are busy for that amount of time too. Even Gosling is taking a break for a couple of years from acting, as he's my ideal choice for Flash. I mean...this whole thing could work out still, just not now. Maybe now was just not the time to be in talks with those guys. It's too fresh after TDKR, their minds are on other things.

Focus on cracking a story for MOS 2 and perhaps launching a Wonder Woman origin story. Then get back in talks with Nolan & his gang.

Im not counting on it, but ill remain a little bit optimistic that something could happen with a shared DC Nolanverse.

Im just not feeling the casting suggestions on these last few pages.

Nothing wrong at looking at Madden in the next few years when he's older and his career kicks off
<kicks dirt> :o

I'm not too sure that bale is all that attached to the hip with nolan.

i mean,

In an interview with Moviefone, Christian Bale said that he became interested in playing Batman after a friend of his loaned him the graphic novel "Arkham Asylum" (by Grant Morrison and Dave McKean) in 2000. After he read it, he told his agent that if anyone was making another Batman movie, he wanted in.

and that's what 3 years after the last "schumacle".

wb firstly, needs to hire someone who who'd respect before we can expect him to sign on the dotted line to return. we know nolan probably won't be that.

Snyder? If Man Of Steel is as good as some of the test screeners have said then why not make him the go to guy when it comes to bringing the DCU to the big screen......can you imagine a Snyder made Batman movie....NINJA BATMAN FTW!! :D

screw it just get joel edgerton for bruce :o

I agree. Nolans one of my favorite directors but I can care less if he says no. They should go straight to Bale before anyone else. Even if it's a soft reboot. I don't care if people don't like that idea. Whats wrong with using Bale in a continuity that's separate from TDKT, exclusive to JL, separate from future Batman films? You reboot the Bat solo in 2020 after JL & the MOS trilogy. You treat each solo like the Bond movies. Arkham Asylum, Batman Beyond, etc. The Bat movies are with a different cast and theyre isolated from any shared universe in the same way that past Batman movies never mixed with Superman, etc.

If Bale isn't playing the Batman I know him as, it lessens the impact for me. But I do agree in not crossing the franchises over in solo films.

Which is quite funny because previously Armie Hammer had been cast as Batman (JL: Mortal) and Manganiello was the runner up for Superman (Man of Steel).

Wasn't he uber-depressed when he couldn't do a final screen test or something for the part because of True Blood?

Yeah, but by the sounds of it, it seems as if Cavill was always gonna get the role. He is to Superman what Christian Bale was to Batman.

Also, while we're on the subject, bat this rate I don't think a separate JL would bother me.

I wrote a very big post explaining that I too earlier had my doubts about multiple Supermen though SHH crashed and that was lost.

But the point that I wanted to make was... not long ago there were THREE versions of Snow White on Movies and TV at the same time! The GA didn't go nuts because of that!

The thing is, the GA would find it easier to take in then lets say Bale coming back and playing a different Batman! Now that is something I'm not a fan of... if Bale is coming back and is alongside Cavill, it has to be in Sny-lan-verse!

Or, as I said go in for a No Strings attached more fantastical universe!

Not a fan of your Wonder Woman, Flash, or Green Lantern choices but I like everything else

My question is why is the female Robin on the team, and why is Robin in JL?

I dont know. LOL. Ellen Page just has the spirit i think of when i think of Robin. I don thtink you get that out of a boy actor trying to be all bad a$$. And as far as why shes there..... just in case? I dunno really? Batman has to talk to someone he trusts. (also why he doesnt remove his mask)

You think Ellen Page is more bad a$$ than Logan Lerman could be in the role?

No i dont.... thats the point. I like that if Ellen played robin it would be a kid capable of strength. A boy actor wouldnt be able to show the frailty of a Robin. He would always protray robin as bad a$$. And i think thats the wrong call. Robin is a side kick, a tag along, a bit too much, and annoying.
